if you're gonna post that at least post the real version and not the ascii version
if you're gonna post that at least post the real version and not the ascii version that every asperger ridden nerd uses on every forum ever including youtube comments
I thought it might count as an image macro, sorry

chances are if something is an image macro an ascii version will get you banned too
I guess this is now the "Awesome/Horrible Teachers" thread
Let me tell you, then, about my high school history teacher. Well, I had three, but this one was the most awesome.
First off, the dude acted evil. Had a Slytherin scarf, practiced his evil laugh, had mirrors taped to the side of his monitor "so he could see anyone trying to sneak up on him". Before every test, he played the Imperial March.
Second, the dude had all kinds of stuff, like: A can of Zyklon B from the Nazi death camps (emptied for safety). A 144mm artillery shell (emptied, for safety). An Aztec skull chalice (for real), which he used as a novelty pencil holder. Military helmets. Photographs. Bullets from the Civil War. A bayonet from the Revolutionary War. An entire wall of the room was dedicated to displays and photographs.
All American public schools, at least in my state, are required to have an American flag hanging. He supplemented that with:
* Imperial Russian flag, with bullet holes from the Bolshevik Revolution
* Nazi flag, captured by American forces during WW2 (he had a picture of the troops using it as a barbers' apron (or whatever that's called))
* Soviet Flag
* People's Republic of China flag
* A framed picture of Kim Jung Il
* A framed picture of Theodore Roosevelt, because why the fuck not?
Third, the dude just did not give a fuck. While studying the Pacific Theater of WW2, he brought in a Japanese Shin Gunto sword, which he stated once belonged to a general involved in the Nanking Massacre, and that it had frequently been used to execute prisoners. He then called up the person who did worst on the last test, and, holding the blade out horizontally, had them drop their test onto it. It sliced it clean through.
Lol compress HDD, Worst thing ever.
Has anyone ever had it work?
I only use it to compress my backup drives and data drives (with content that are not speed sensitive). It does actually cut back quite a nice chunk of free space for you, and I have not experienced any noticeable performance degradation from it.

This is on the shared disk, the whole department uses a pirated version of Nero :v:
That's from the teacher who told us "don't use P2P on the schools network" while uTorrent showed a window saying his pirated movie was done downloading

To the untrained eye, that might be understandable. The Mac App store is brilliant, since it's a relatively safe way to get a large amount of applications. Plus it's right on the dock, where people can see it when they boot up their Mac for the first time. If you tell someone who understands the Mac App store "Go download X", they will probably try the Mac App Store since it's easy to use.
If you tell a new PC user or a PC user, who doesn't do much beyond Windows Live Messenger and an Internet Browser, to download an application, they might try Googling it if you're lucky. Though if you're searching for a general term like "Video converter" for example, you won't get WinFF or any of the great converters we use, they'll get Videosoft Ultra Mega Video Converter 2011 HD.
There's just no central place where you can get good commercial games, applications and utilities in the same place on windows. It's a shame really.

I dont see what a Mac can do that a PC can't, and I don't see what a PC can do that a mac cant (other than games of course)
Oh god not another Apple Vs. Everything debate.
I dont see what a Mac can do that a PC can't, and I don't see what a PC can do that a mac cant (other than games of course)
And the debate stops here.
Anyone who tries to continue it is content.
Lol compress HDD, Worst thing ever.

I've only seen corrupt windows install after corrupt windows install.
My old XP install was compressed. It made all the files and folders blue, which looked terrible.
Oddly enough, it didn't affect speeds at all.
how does this even make sense any more

The OS X collection of games is still incredibly puny compared to Windows'. This is more the fault of developers than the OSes themselves though. Maybe in a few years that statement will be wrong, but until then it's about right.
oh god oh god i just applied for a job at geeksquad
oh god oh god i just applied for a job at geeksquad
I'm so sorry.
oh god oh god i just applied for a job at geeksquad
Well on the bright side you will be a great supply of content.
and Monster Cables
and Monster Cables
I have a few monster brand audio cables and the ends are certainly better constructed than most cables. They don't have less latency like some people claim but they're still nice.
Only thing I'd change is that I'd throw a braid around the cable, going without is just silly for a cable so expensive.
My monster cables have braid :smug:
But yes, I plan to provide excellent content, in addition to what I've already supplied.
Also, update on the school front: We're finally trashing Novell and upgrading to Win7 + Active Directory :D
All the printers still have publicly addressable IP addresses though...
