Fuck, Abandonia is down! Does anyone have a link to download Wasteland? I haven't played in awhile and I got an itch for it after playing some FNV today.
-no adblock/noscript on firefox... -ADOBE CS4 SHIT
why would you have adblock or noscript on a school computer and what is wrong with CS4 exactly
Fuck, Abandonia is down! Does anyone have a link to download Wasteland? I haven't played in awhile and I got an itch for it after playing some FNV today.
That would be warez, including Abandonia. [editline]8th September 2011[/editline]
why would you have adblock or noscript on a school computer and what is wrong with CS4 exactly
CS4 is pretty bad. I agree with adblock, I don't even use adblock, I like to support websites that I go to. A little box with an ad on the side of a website isn't bothering me.
Wait what's the problem with this? Some school stuff simply doesn't work with Opera/Chrome/FF/Sparkbrowser, I have to use IE then. There's still Chrome installed on every computer though :buddy:
Use IETab+.
vlan? EDIT: OH YES CONTENT FROM MY SECOND DAY AT SCHOOL: What our current setups issues are: -ditched our fiber line FOR SOME FUCKING REASON. -some illiterate cunt cut out all the wiring on the top floor -Windows XP -Windows in general -Not running Linux on any of the servers like I was told -Jimmy and that bald fuck that got me suspended still work there -SOMEONE STOLE MY MOTHERFUCKING ROLLING CHAIR IN FORTAIS ROOM -I don't work there -Firefox 4.0 -Internet Explorer is still an option -schooltools hates firefox -no adblock/noscript on firefox... -ADOBE CS4 SHIT -Office 2010 and 2003 are both still installed on the server and show up in the novell tree. +20,000 other items...
none of this is content or funny
CS4 is pretty bad.
Why, just because your school doesn't have the latest version with fancy content awareness mode and that makes it bad?
CS4 is the exact same as CS5 but without content aware fill
No, CS4 is pretty bad, my girlfriend bought it. All its interface is emulated, it's flash based or something. I can't find the source on it right now, I'd rather use GIMP + Inkscape anyways, it's faster to install, with the same features pretty much. I don't really see why school don't use them, they aren't that much different, and there are even skins you can get to make them more adobe-like. [editline]8th September 2011[/editline] the installer is really horrible and bloated, seriously
no script literally just strips 99% of websites functionality
All its interface is emulated, it's flash based or something. I can't find the source on it right now
Wait, what?
Finally got to move my computer into the new house. Having a clean desk, room, & monitor feels strangely refreshing. My desk used to be cluttered with junk and an unused printer, scanner & iMac. I'd take a picture of my new room but I left my camera at the old house... :v: And I also forgot the cable tube thinger that keeps from all the cables behind my computer from getting tangled... oh well. Also, strange thing happened. I decided to hook up the HDMI cable to my monitor instead of the DVI to see if it made any difference (And it didn't, just like I thought) and ever since I did, every time I moved my mouse off the right side of the screen it would disappear into the oblivion and not come back unless I pulled it all the way back into existence. Turns out I forgot to disconnect the DVI... And the computer thought it was a second monitor, so my mouse was trying to go to a monitor that wasn't there. I felt dumb. I thought the mouse or something was fucked.
Wait, what?
maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but people used to have bugs in CS4 where it would show a windows classic-like GUI rather than the correct one, because it was all emulated. [editline]8th September 2011[/editline] stuff like this, apparently CS5 is the same way [editline]8th September 2011[/editline] It's definitely not really a big deal, I just am not a big fan of photoshop :v: it's not a decision I'd make.
You kiddin' me? Skype, Photoshop Elements 8, Steam, anything that has a custom close/minimize/maximize button and things of the like do that to me all the time on any computer I use it on. Doesn't necessarily mean the GUI is "emulated"... Edit: Speaking of GUI muckups... I think I broke Steam. Rather my boyfriend did since he's the one who signed in on it, har har... :v:
ugh I know, I can't find the source anymore I'm just going to end up looking dumb here :(

Why is this legal? They should be equal, not greater than.

Well I guess I just get some really strange glitches....

Even a copy of the default with a minor tweak is still a custom skin.
Yeah, I switched users back to my account and there was a Steam update, saw it was the GUI being changed that caused it to fuck up on the friends menu. I liked that custom skin, damn.

Just did, hasn't been updated since August of last year supposedly. According to the changelogs & forum post anyways.
I'm probably late, but I still feel I should let you all know that if you're a student and if your college/uni provided you with an email address, you can get double the extra space from your referrals on dropbox, and your max extra space goes from 8gb up to 16gb. It says you need a .edu email address, but I used my college email which has a .nl suffix but it still worked! https://www.dropbox.com/edu
:C
I don't have a .edu e-mail address either. Requested the management to issue .edu e-mail addresses (our school's domain name ends with .edu), but they said "it's only for teachers, since it's illegal to issue governmental e-mail addresses strictly for internal use to students :v:" And that's why all the educational discounts/offers applying only to .edu e-mail addresses are flawed. :suicide:
Mine worked (@liacs.nl) although I already have Dropbox Pro and only one referral :v:
When my mother ends up installing random adware and other annoying things like toolbars and the like, when I get mad, she doesn't act like it's her fault that she got that shit on her netbook to begin with. Same thing with the rest of my family and anyone who I have to maintain their computers. And then if something goes wrong even weeks after I fixed their computers they choose to blame me! I'm not the one who clicks on every ad and popup after I somehow disabled adBlock by changing the system to the wrong time somehow? How is it they do this shit without realizing it?
If it's not your computer, just leave it how it is, they will learn eventualy.
Teacher uses NetOp to show their screen on all computers screen in the lab, but im using my own macbook so im not affected :v:
