Nah, I've had people have worse. Someone who was scared of spiders had his mum come into his room and find it while he was near crying. Recorded it aswell.
At least I have a good singing voice...
That feeling when you just sang the entire fucking Bohemian Rhapsody and forgot to mute your mic in Mumble.
I don't know why, but I find that song VERY overrated. It's like Queen had a few scraps left over after making good songs, and just tossed them all together into an incoherent mess. It has a lot of potential, a lot of good ideas, but it isn't a good song (at least, compared to most of Queen's songs. Compared to most songs in general, it's still better).
What is the best book for learning C programming? My birthday's coming up in a week, and I need to actually put a name on a book. All help appreciated.

It's probably so highly regarded because it covers pretty much everything that someone that generally listens to Queen would probably like.

Just plain C? I've always liked o'reilly books.

Do you mind if they are in English?
EDIT:
Found one by the same guy who made my book on it.

Pearson makes textbooks for my school so I think they are pretty legit, but I don't know for certain.

Yup, plain C. Should I go for C++ instead or what? I've just heard that C makes comprehending alot of other languages easily, and C++ is a bit like the odd one out.

Not at all. Most of the jargon is in english anyway, so why not the rest.

My uncle said that but to be honest any C style language wouldn't be hard to move to.
Well, all the basics of programming are basically the exact same no matter the language (just with some different syntax). You might learn a little more with an OOP language since it'd cover some of that, too. I say you just start with whatever language you want to learn.

If you want to take a look at C++ real quick, try this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17065151/tutorial.pdf
Also, lol I'm logged into Steam but can't appear online. Is Valve having issues?
And depending what you want to do, choose a language from there.

Steam servers f'ed up for a minute I think, my loadout on TF2 wasn't loading.
Dell support didn't help. They just said their site is going through some changes and asked to call me some time.
NO I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME

I've done some basic C already, so it isn't really foreign to me. So yeah, I guess I want to do C.
Oh yes, and the issue with still having CS4 is because we were promised CS5.
imo everyone should read the entirety of the SICP before learning to program. It makes picking up new languages much easier.

Hmm, it seems to cost 120$ new.. How essential is it?
Quick question I'm trying to get my n64 to play on a computer monitor that has vga and 3.5mm audio jack. Would these two things make this work? RCA video to vga RCA audio to 3.5mm
1. no you need to actually convert RCA to VGA, no cable will do that.
2. yes but you won't be able to change the volume or anything above what it outputs. If you want to lower it, though, you can get one of those volume things.
like this http://www.amazon.com/Koss-155954-VC20-Volume-Control/dp/B00001P4XH/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1315599370&sr=1-1
The 2nd would do.

Call me a dumbass but I'm honestly not seeing the problem here. Is it because the dude spent so much money on this hardware or what?

He has two MARS II's.

Those 2 GPU's cost around 1300 Euros each.

No problem, it's just an insane amount of money. HardOCP is a big review site and community and the guy does pretty well. He'll probably be doing a MARS II Quad SLI review soon, since not many sites can say they've done that.

The C Programming Language, second edition, by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie.
It's written by the creators of C, and it's the best book on it I have read.
