I don't want to know how big the RAW files are then...
My camera doesn't take RAWs :frown: However according to Wikipedia I would expect a 12MP RAW file to be about ~24-25 MB Camera raw file size are typically 2–6 times larger than JPEG file size. While use of raw formats avoids the compression artifacts inherent in JPEG, fewer images can fit on a given memory card. However, the large sizes and low prices of modern memory cards do mitigate this.
I don't want to know how big the RAW files are then...
The camera my school has creates 20 MB RAW files. Figured out that when after we had taken 200+ pics Edit: I also managed to install Ubuntu now. Turned out that it was the HDD that was bad and when i put it on a memcard as a test, It worked fine
Well, the script does not want to work always but atleast it works :v:
Wait, why is everyone saying the avatars are 64*64? I still see them as 80*80 but mine got a little fucked up for some reason...
If they were 80x80 before the fuckup, they will remain that way. New avatars are limited to 64x64.
Wait, why is everyone saying the avatars are 64*64? I still see them as 80*80 but mine got a little fucked up for some reason...
If you upload an avatar NOW max size is 64*64

so, content from VALVE of all people i make this as a spray: [t]http://puu.sh/5v5Q[/t] and save it as a png to find out tf2 doesnt take pngs. alright, i make it into a tga which is one of the formats. turns out paint.net doesnt save it into the exact crinklefucking kind of tga tf2 likes. i can't save it as a bmp or a jpg either because they don't have transparency and i tried some vtf stuff but those dont work either :\

You make a spray with broken English, don't manage to import it and blame VALVE?
Okay, what Are you serious. You make a spray with broken English, don't manage to import it and blame vALVE?
the content was mainly the fact that the import thing didn't accept .png [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] and if it pisses you off so much i'll put a comma in there [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] but seriously, isn't .png the standard of transparent pictures?

So just suck it up and get GIMP instead of pissing about in Paint.net. At least you'd be able to import it then.
I wish GIMP wasn't so confusing But then again I'm retarded and used to Photoshop Elements so I guess I'm the only one with this problem
Single-window mode might help you understand it. It's going to work properly in the next stable release, or so I hear.
Okay, what Are you serious. You make a spray with broken English, don't manage to import it and blame VALVE?
there's nothing wrong with his english though?? at least until the "SCOUT DON'T USE TELEPORTER" but iirc that's directly from an image posted in the tf2 subforum
gimp doesnt work either, i tried that [editline].[/editline] i think i found the problem, gimp is saving it as a 32 bit RGB instead of a 32 bit rgba. how would i go about adding the alpha channel in gimp [editline]11th September 2011[/editline]
there's nothing wrong with his english though?? at least until the "SCOUT DON'T USE TELEPORTER" but iirc that's directly from an image posted in the tf2 subforum
yeah all the text was taken from an image posted in tf2 subforum that i converted into spray form because i couldnt find the tf2 font and didnt want to fart around the internet looking for it
uh The TF2 font is in the resources folder (I think, been a while) of the game itself fyi
okay thanks
gimp doesnt work either, i tried that [editline].[/editline] i think i found the problem, gimp is saving it as a 32 bit RGB instead of a 32 bit rgba. how would i go about adding the alpha channel in gimp
Check the channels tab out in the layers panel. And see if the alpha channel is there. It should be anyway, but it's better to check. If it isn't right click the layers and select Add Alpha Channel. It should then save the TGA with rgba.
and it finally works even though there was already an alpha channel, removing it and readding it fixed it. what the fuck

Link us that spray when you finally get it right ok?
I haven't been on /b/ for ages, guess I should check what's happening Child porn nope.avi
I've been talking to the IT guy at my high school (and entire school district). His name is Andy, and he's like the IRL version of Gman003.

I'm most likely being dumb but I know nothing about ram so I might as well ask http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104173 so I got this ram and it says that it runs at 1600mhz but when I look at my ram through speccy it says DRAM Frequency 665.2 MHz is this something different or is my ram not working correctly.
