OK I'm gonna ask now. I installed an old MS Speech SDK in hopes that it would fix faceposer. It did not, but then someone released some faceposer update that works with the new Speech SDK, which I no longer have. Does anyone have the new Speech SDK dll for me?
Windows 8 Dev preview coming later tonight: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2011/09/13/welcome-to-windows-8-the-developer-preview.aspx [editline]13th September 2011[/editline] Halp, my windows xp pc says conflicting ip adress, i reboot it, still exists. ipconfig/flushdns works fine, but ipconfig/release and renew give a failed because no adapter is in a state to complete this action? [editline]13th September 2011[/editline] Windows 8 Dev Preview (3AM GMT btw): 'There is no activation, just download the iso and install it!' 'On the other hand, no support either' :v:
Derp, making english exams from last year to practice, we have 150 mins.Im done in 80 :smug:
Is English really a hard language to learn?
Is English really a hard language to learn?
Not really, it's the easiest language I know.
English is easy to speak, but hard to write.
English is easy to speak, but hard to write.
Other way round for me, I get so embarrassed over my accent while speaking that I completely shut tight.

Only english. It's not that i can't speak proper english, it's that i don't see any use in speaking it when i can just speak dutch right then.

What.
Now I'm curious, in the part of Europe you live in, is it common for people to be multilingual?
We're both dutch. I got dutch, english and french in the 1st year of highschool Second year was dutch, english, french and german 3rd year was same as second year 4th year i dropped french and german 5th year now and still only dutch and english. It's pretty common to have atleast dutch and english. Most schools do french and german too. My school even offers chinese, greek and latin :v:
Now I'm curious, in the part of Europe you live in, is it common for people to be multilingual?
It's common in pretty much entire Europe.
It's common in pretty much entire Europe.
A secondary language should be required in the US for all 12 years of education. It's bullshit. Then again, half the people I know can't even speak their own damn language properly, so two would probably give them an aneurism.
It's common in pretty much entire Europe.
Except for England, where, up to last year, we only had to learn English, though there was the option for French, Spanish, Italian, German and so on. (for some reason, only 1 in 5 or so in my school took a second language) I honestly tried with German and French, but I couldn't get the grasp of it.

At least a majority of people in the US are horrible at English and grammar, and can't even get their/they're/there, your/you're, well/good, its/it's correct. It's really horrible.
I was in my Chinese class today and the teacher wanted to show us some video in Chinese (shocker), so she went into Bing and searched Google, and then google'd youtube, which is blocked

Four languages.
Most people around here only speak French/Spanish, and English.
"I did went", "I be at", "I done went". Especially when I see people write it like that in formal papers and the teachers don't call them out on it.
It's really quite sad when that happens. I occasionally will say it in joking or in text to a friend, but not since probably 1st-2nd grade have I actually thought that was proper English...

They see languages other than English "Un-American."

My school offers Japanese, I would of taken it if it wasn't that it would have collided with physics. Else during my school years I could have learn Spanish, German, French and I believe Italian. I've got 4 years of Spanish, and can't remember half of it since the last time I had a lesson with it was 3 years ago. And then my teacher during 2 of those years wasn't all that good at it. Else I've had a teacher that have atleast lived there and knew the language well. Also the Japanese teachers at my school is either my sister's friend's grandfather that is a native Japanese, or said friend's mother's friend. Also I'm glad that you're required to learn English in Swedish schools. Not that it'd help me much, except with a bit of grammar.
