Fucking. While I was in germany my mom shut off my server. I had over 80 days of uptime damnit :argh:
I've never seen Chrome do that on Windows or Linux yet.
when I installed it on my dad's laptop and my sister's laptop (running XP and 7 respectively), it played a short chrome thingy

One moment, reinstalling Chrome, because I've never noticed this.
FUUUUU-
So, as some of you may know, my netbook had a small amount of dead pixels. Half an hour ago, I dropped it. It now looks like this:

FML, what the fuck do I do.
Nope, nothing, it just opens a new google tab upon launch.

Cry.
It's an Aspire one D255. I know that some of the other models use the same screen, so if any of you can find one cheaply, I'll love you forever.

Thought the spiral was the damage and thought "rather pretty"
But yeah, As Fatal-Error said, Cry
My comm. tech teacher wanted me to try installing Xubuntu on some of the computers I repaired last year in order to make them useful. Unfortunately, the ATI Rage 128 cards are retarded in Linux, so the GUI is rendered on the CPU. That would be terrible normally, though these computers are HP Vectras with a 1.6 GHz Pentium 4. Just moving the mouse around brings the CPU usage up to 30-40%, moving the file browser around causes it to stutter and hit 100% CPU usage... Looks like video editing isn't going to be possible at all.
If my server (Made of parts I had laying around after upgrades, including a 2.9 GHz Core 2 Duo) wasn't being used by everyone in the house, I would throw a video card in it and give it to the class. Trying to edit HD video on old Macbooks loaded with Deepfreeze is extremely frustrating, especially since the files need to be saved on network drives at the beginning and end of class.
Dell small business is a fucking joke on the phone.
i got transferred to like 5 wrong departments.

$60+shipping. Next time, avoid being a dumbass and dropping your stuff.
The first dead pixels weren't my fault. It was a month ago, and I took it home to a friend. After being there for 4 hour, I used it and saw the dead pixels. I think my friend fell on it, but I have no idea.
Right half an hour ago, it slipped off of the box I was carrying it on.

By the way, usually I take very good care of my stuff. This is the first thing I've broken on accident, ever. And I didn't just drop it like an idiot, it slipped. At least it was in a soft-case...
They are mailing me another.
So you'll have two? wat
I'll be sure to make a "WHY CAN'T I HOLD ALL THESE MONITORS!" image for you guys...
1. Buy monitor
2. Call and claim it has dead pixels
3. INFINITE FREE MONITORS
Some guys just came over to install some security software for my mom. First, they needed a computer my desktop is currently without a PSU so they're unable to use mine. My mom says they can use her laptop, but apparently the software doesn't work macs, maybe my mom will think twice about buying a Mac Pro now :v:, then they ask my mom if the routers on, I pitch in and tell them that it's on, I using safari on my iPod right now, my mom then lectures me on how they're more technologically advanced than I am, and that they can check themselves to make sure. During this me and my sister are just sitting there laughing at her. I find it hilarious how she thinks I'm a complete idiot with technology. Oh and she claims that Me and my sister ruined her 4 year old MacBook Pro, last time I used it was Christmas two years ago so I could buy Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl for $2.50 :v:

Also. ahem.
Guys, I'm pretty sure he sends his old one back after he gets the new one, and they charge him if they don't receive it after a certain period.
That's what I'm saying. It's normal procedure, atleast in the US. I'll keep both for like a day for some testing on both before I send the old one back.

I found this, an ibook G3, clamshell. Any tips for installing debian on it? It's pretty much useless otherwise.
(Not my picture, just something I found on the internet.)
Well, I just had my second-ever bluescreen on Vista.
Either CodeBlocks really doesn't like aborting the build and/or editing the code during a compile, or WMP really doesn't like Cryptic Writings. And I don't think it's the first one.
I've been using 7 for 5 months now and I've not gotten a blue screen yet.
I've only had one bluescreen in the past two years - from changing process priority on PunkBuster.
Something tells me the process priority setting itself isn't to blame here.
