Sam, it might be your graphics card, is it ge-force (well, thats probably gonna make it too detailed) but if your graphics card is old i could see why
Found on the Oddworld Forums in a thread about changing Abe's Oddysee's resolution. :downs::downs:RUNNING A 1997 GAME ON A GEFORCE MAKES IT TOO DETAILD:downs::downs:
Also. ahem.
Just a personal competition between me and Goz3rr :v: I know you have 2 of the damn things.
just found out another gem regarding a client who pays someone to take their pictures. Believe it or not, my client does architecture work for McDonald's. [t]http://i.imgur.com/uaaED.jpg[/t] this picture THIS PICTURE it isn't out of the ordinary or anything, but I noticed in photoshop they had readjusted to compensate for barrel distortion, and there was terrible chromatic abberation (look at the post the mcd's sign is on, there's pink on one side and bluegreen on the other. color errors, etc). So, I decide to find out what camera/lens they were using just because I'm me. The data shows it was taken by a Kodak DCS 760c... which is a camera that used to cost $25,000/£15000 in 2000. it was a Nikon film camera modified with a whopping 6 megapixel sensor instead of using film, and still costs a handful today despite anything current at that price makes it look like a disposable camera. Once again, they paid him. To drive up here from the other end of Chicago. To take a picture. Of a McDonald's. 20 minutes down the road from me.
Christ, my little 12 MP point-and-shoot camera can take a better picture then that thing. [editline]16th September 2011[/editline] Without any photoshopping!
I bought a gigabyte GTX 460 (the one with two fans :v) and it's frickin' awesome. Huge performance increase from my 9800GT and it's ice cold.
I don't get it, why does a 460 have two big fans yet the 480 only has one noisy little fucker of a fan
I don't get it, why does a 460 have two big fans yet the 480 only has one noisy little fucker of a fan
Different manufacturers and models have different setups
They're both from gigabyte
So I was walking home from the grocery store when I passed the events center. They have a dotscreen there that would show little adverts and things. At least it would usually. What I saw overlaid on top of whatever ad this time was the corner of the famous "APPLICATIONHERE has stopped working" screen and the corner of the Start Menu. It was XP :suicide:
I just officially quit WoW. Trying to sell my account now.
I'd be -2000 something pounds I think.
Quitting WoW will do that to a person.
Quitting WoW will do that to a person.
Every time somebody quits WoW, a black hole is born
I just officially quit WoW. Trying to sell my account now.
I got an email that my trial was started for the new expansion, but I never signed up for anything of the sort. Wary it was a spam/phishing gimmick, I went to the actual blizzard site instead of following links and found I did indeed have the trial. Thinking it was a marketing scheme, I decided to go with it and use up the free time. When I got onto the game, I found my characters all had their bags suddenly full of flowers/herb shit, and their gathering skills at 400 when I'd never herb'd ever. I figured a botter brute-forced my password, but nothing had been sold, I had lots of low-level junk but was apparently gaining skill from something all along the way. I figured they were leveling it up and not caring to do anything til the character reached places with valuable stuff. I deleted all the goods, and thankfully all my gold was in tact (with nothing new), and I had all my items except for my previously equipped weapons, which were deleted and replaced with a skinning knife. I changed my pass, checked all my characters, and started playing. Reaching the trial's level cap of 100% leveling from 80-81, I figured I might as well pay because it was fun and I actually wanted to level. I played through a couple days, then ran into an odd problem with a stupid instanced event, the thing with the submarine going around that whirlpool. I contacted support because no NPCs spawned and I drowned in mid-air if I tried moving around the sub. Bugger. We fixed the issue by having him complete it for me on his computer apparently, and he asked if I needed anything else. I asked if there was a record of activity on my account, as I'd been inactive for well over a year and found a bot haplessly collecting herbs, but not selling/trading things yet. Caught early, presumably. He suggested changing password, said it happens now and again and that I got lucky in figuring it out fast enough to where it didn't get itself banned. He signed off with a :) and that was that. another day or two later, I already reach level 85 and am thinking I'd finally get to the real content since it's mostly endgame material, and mid-play I get logged off. I go to re-login, and it says my account had been suspended. I got an email stating that a support member marked me as a botter and banned me for RMT, buying leveling services, and account fraud. I sent in a support ticket on the site and nobody responded. Bravo, fucktards, you wasted my money on the game, but thank you for cutting me short, I can get shit done now since I'm not drawn into the game. My apartment roommate literally plays every waking moment he's not at work, it's kind of sad. excuse me I have some trackmania and minecraft to spend nights making shit most people will never notice.
so you weigh 646 pounds now? fuck man maybe you should have quit wow earlier
2000 something. I was 420 back in december, 486 as of february and I've lost more and can fit into a 4XL. going off of the 386 I'd have lost -2260 if I had lost 1200 kilos.
I remember when the Intel Core 2 Duo's were powerful. :sigh: How long does it take for a motherboard to fail? Had this crap one for 4 years now, should I consider a upgrade, specs are here: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 1.88Ghz 4GB DDR2 RAM ATI Radeon HD 5450 @ 1GB 1.5TB of storage (both are SATA drives)

Also you could probably upgrade to a Core 2 Quad, Probably a Q6600 (Great price if you can find them) You could do with a GPU upgrade, like a 6770? That's all assuming you want to stay with that Mobo.

but if he's running a garbage chipset it's not going to matter anyway
Built my machine myself. Can't remember the exact motherboard name, but it's an ASUS from 2007
if it's an asus it's probably a decent chipset. they put most of their cheap things in asustek
Is anyone else like me? I start up Metro 2033, about to play it for the first time Main menu makes my graphics card's fan get loud as all hell I get paranoid and close the game I have a thing where I think that noise = bad and it's going to damage my card somehow :saddowns: [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] It's also the reason I never play Crysis

[editline]17th September 2011[/editline] Except the reason I never play Crysis is because my card hits 100C pretty fast. :v:

I always see if you don't you get 3000fps in menu etc and that causes cards to run very hot.
