When I played the WoW trial, I found it extremely boring. Never played it again. :v: The best solution is to never start.
1-15 sucks, 15-20 is better, 20+ is fantastic, 60-80 sucks if you've done it before, 80-85 is amazing, 85+ is fun until you've cleared all of the content
I can't decide, new motherboard and AMD bulldozer for christmas, or an arduino board and display? I have wanted to get into embedded programming for ages but have never bought the equiptment.
But the game is free until level 20 :downs:
If you put enough restrictions on, by the time you've removed them all you won't feel like WoW anymore
Have you ever played WoW for a long time and then stopped? I played for 4 years and then stopped. I can tell you, the feeling of wanting to play WoW can easily go on for months.

Arduinos are pretty cheap and you don't need a display and a higher end one when you start off. If anything pump your readings out into a terminal on your computer. I'd rather deal with that to get a new processor. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline]
Have you ever played WoW for a long time and then stopped? Thank god after I quit years ago I went straight into working out and forgot about Wow. If it wasn't for the gym I would be full on addicted today.
I'm just done building my PC! It took me about 2,5h to install everything and do cable management. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit is just completing the installation now, expect my next post from Windows 7 :D
Not bad for a 5400RPM HDD.
Does anyone think Windows 8 is stable enough to run on a laptop I use daily? The preview is still download and I will be backing up my Win 7 install.
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1106951?p=32338497&viewfull=1#post32338497 content? he commented on this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5483751/Project/index.html I know it's not good but it's not that bad either right?
Does anyone think Windows 8 is stable enough to run on a laptop I use daily? Skype craps out, steam is fine so far, Firefox has a few graphical glitches in the toolbars.
might have to get it myself then, I only ever use my laptop for web browsing and watching movies on in bed [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] where do I get it, is it an official release or should I just use torrent sites?
I can't decide, new motherboard and AMD bulldozer for christmas, or an arduino board and display? I have wanted to get into embedded programming for ages but have never bought the equiptment.
I'm actually going to advise against getting into Bulldozer until it's proved itself in the real-world. Why? Because it's showing every sign of being a new Pentium 4. 1) Large, expensive dies 2) Extremely high clocks - that means very high power draw and heat, and probably poor branch performance as well 3) It's not really as multicore as it claims. By my guess, their "8-core" will act more like a 6-core in practice. They're basically adding Intel's Hyper-Threading, then advertising the number of threads as the number of cores. (This isn't 100% true, but I'd need a few paragraphs to explain properly). 4) It's late. Very, very late. It was supposed to ship months ago, and they still haven't confirmed an official lineup. Basically, my stance on it is "be wary - it may be a dud. wait until after some real-world reviews show up to buy into it".
Fuck can I be unbanned from the steam chat now? I'll even admit that Skyrim doesn't look like total shit.
I didn't know you were banned, and I doubt complaining about Skyrim was the reason since everyone knows it looks incredibly terrible.
I didn't know you were banned, and I doubt complaining about Skyrim was the reason since everyone knows it looks incredibly terrible.
it looks better than TES4
But we can overclock really high though :v:
Clock speed != performance.
Clock speed != performance.
which is why it's incredibly stupid to use as a gauge for performance measurement [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] you can really only compare processors in the same line reliably
I'm pretty sure he knows that gman, hence the :v:

For me it said NO HARD DISK DETECTED on every boot because i wasn't using that marvel controller.
Goz3rr, you do realize that the Windows Experience Index thing is useless shit, right?
