Did the first guy seriously post a CD key in a public discussion? :v:
Those are all comments (except the top one) on this image: On Ultimatum Games' Facebook page. It's just one letter he posted, it's a first-come first-serve situation.
Kill it before it kills you all!
No worries, with that kind of cooling it'll kill itself soon enough :v: [editline]18th September 2011[/editline] I wish I had a second SATA cable for that 80 GB HDD I found right now, backing up 40 GB of games on DVDs will take a while...

-nvm-
I'm kind of sad about having to get a new screen for my netbook, but hey, I got a free working xbox 360! So that kind of makes up for it.
I gave Windows 8 a fast try. My opinion was that it's shit.
Cool. What did you not like? I felt just right after just about an hours usage, so this is boggling my mind a bit.
I could not even get it to work. It error coded itself to death when i tried to install it. Not enough performance maybe
Cool. What did you not like?
Tablet mode by default, they fucked up the Start menu and I could not figure out how to change it so it boots into desktop mode or how to get the Start menu back.
What do you miss out on in the start menu?
Guys, almost all the fans on my pc are basically inaudible (140 front fan, 140mm top fan, 2x 80m fan on Twin Frozr III) but the stock corsair fan on my H60 is making the most noise of all. It's making a kind of humming/buzzing/rattling noise. Do any of you guys with corsair fans experience the same? Or is my fan faulty/did i screw the installation of it up?
What do you miss out on in the start menu?
About everything, if you press to open it, it just opens the stupid tablet menu and apparently if I have my mouse over it for a couple of seconds, it opens up some stupid-ass gutted version of the Start menu. I can't get even that to open up now but I think that's Virtualbox screwing up. [editline]18th September 2011[/editline] I like the Live integration in 8, but everything else that I've seen is rubbish. Oh god, that bloody Ribbon bar in Explorer, ugh.
I just realised that I never, ever use my start menu anymore. Just Launchy and the W7 Superbar. And Windows key + E for explorer.
sounds legit.

To unlock the lock screen, double tap on your mouse or hit any key on the keyboard instead of dragging to the top To bring up the “charms bar” (share, settings, shutdown, etc), hit the lower-left corner of the screen with the mouse – no clicking required or use winkey+c In any app, right click to bring up the “app bar” to see everything you can do To go back to the Start screen, simply use the Windows Key on your keyboard Bump your mouse against the left side of the screen to see a thumbnail of your most recently used app. Use the scroll wheel to see all open modern apps Modern apps don’t generally need to be closed — they are suspended when they’re not in view. If you really need to close them, use the task manager (via the tile or ctrl+shift+esc) to force quit To search for anything on your system like applications, setting, or files, simply start typing from the Start screen, and the search box will automatically pop up or use winkey+f Glance at your desktop by using Winkey+y Activate application settings charm by using winkey+i (this also brings up power options) Project onto an external TV/monitor using winkey+p Use the page up and page down keys to move between tile groups on the Start Screen Bump your mouse to the left and grab an app, if you pull it towards the right and then bump it to the left it will cycle to the next app Pin/unpin tiles or remove apps by right clicking on tiles on the Start Screen Activate Semantic Zoom in Metro apps by using Ctrl+ mouse scroll Switch the input language and keyboard layout with Winkey+Spacebar Show the desktop using Winkey+d Open the share charm with winkey+h Open the connect charm with winkey+k Lock your Windows 8 PC with winkey+l Lock screen rotation using winkey+o Cycle through apps using winkey+tab Switch between apps using alt+tab
[editline]18th September 2011[/editline] Also, I'm getting an SSD (an OCZ Agility 60GB), and I'm thinking of using it as a boot drive with a couple of games on it. If I remember correctly you can't decide what directory you want your steam games in, and well, that would suck a bit ass. Any way to get around this?
Move steam folder, bam
Move steam folder, bam
Problem is that my steam folder is fairly big, like ~130GB.
Symbolic links? :science:

I've got mine set to C:\Steam, because I do a lot of modding and typing c:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\ takes too long.
Problem is that my steam folder is fairly big, like ~130GB.
pffft I had to move the whole thing to a external HDD and back again so I didn't have to redownload everything when I got my new computer.
You can always use this http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover
So, my step father forced me to install gnome earlier so that we could get my print server to work since nothing we tried with my openbox setup would work. Installed gnome... BOOM LOL IT WERKZ. What. The. Fuck. I'm just going to stay with Gnome. Only funtionality I'm missing is the right click menu. Way faster, but oh well. [editline]18th September 2011[/editline] And I still can't edit on Linux. Help? Oh, and to reply I have to double click reply and have it take me to the "Advanced Editor". [editline]18th September 2011[/editline] I also get this shit whenever I submit a post: [t]http://i.imgur.com/H0ZOE.png[/t]

Open up an elevated cmd prompt: mklink /D "SSD:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps" "HDD:\folder\to\old\steamapps" Obviously replace SSD and HDD with drive letters and the path to your old steamapps folder. This way all you have to do is reinstall steam on the ssd. No need to move all the game files.
