if you're gaming swap out that caviar green for something else like a spinpoint f3 for a better gaming experience because caviar green is 5200 rpm and most others are 7600, get a different nvidia card of a 100$ price range (or if you're willing to take the plunge, a gtx 570-580).
I had a £300 budget for this build, I can always upgrade to better parts on my next payday. I'll look into perhaps squeezing out a couple of quid to switch HDD's though. As for the card, it's good enough for the main games I play (Source engine games, SC2, Etc) and I can always upgrade that at a later date. Possibly when I can upgrade to Bulldozer.
I would keep the GPU as you have now and get a X4 955 from the saved money or whatever.
Oh my I'm playing L4D2, every time there's a new texture/particle/sound that has to be loaded it freezes for about half a second I open up Defraggler, 41% fragmentation :byodood: I leave it on defrag for a few hours, it says it's completed I check the fragmentation : 41% :wtc:
I know this isn't the questions thread, but I need a bit of advice. I'm building a computer soon, and I'm going to use an 1155 motherboard. I'm having trouble deciding if I should get P67 or Z68. While I want to get a Z68 board (Mainly for the SSD caching, the other features don't really interest me that much), it seems that Z68 boards are overall less reliable in comparison to their P67 counterparts, at least from the reviews users have put up on Newegg. What do you guys think I should do? EDIT: Also, holy shit, 98% CPU usage in Safari.
You lied Spartan, the airport is still very much intact.
MSI Z68A-GD65 or Asus P8Z68-V Pro? [editline]9th July 2011[/editline] I basically need a LGA1155 board, P67 or Z68 (Prices aren't much higher) that supports SLI and has 2x PWM fan connectors. Preferably 150 euro-ish.
Sometimes I hate new technology, my new laptop didn't even last me 6 months before I had to send it back but my laptop I got in like 2002 or something is still chugging along nicely. I feel bad for neglecting my old laptop
You lied Spartan, the airport is still very much intact.
Pfft, I left a "surprise" on the ferry for you.

Questions thread is useless, gonna ask here: Is there a way to stop Media Center from meddling with my music library? I wanna use it with my PCTV, but whenever I open it, it screws with my song tagging.

MSI is infinitely crap. [editline]10th July 2011[/editline] I've had three MSI motherboards, let's recap how they went down. 1. Cap melted. 2. Resistor caught fire. 3. stopped responding. My friend had one; The socket(AM3) was broken and you didn't need to open it with the lever to remove the CPU. It also stopped working when he switched chassis. My old teacher had two. Both just stopped working. Not one of these had any overclock or other bad parts. Today, all the other parts from these computers sit on Gigabyte and Asus motherboards, none has failed for years and months.

I can not get my fucking website to use my domain. I feel so bad. :suicide:
are these good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121044
When you buy 5.1 systems essentially you pay for quantity over quality. A good stereo speaker system will be better quality wise. But if you want the surround sound for movies/games, go ahead. If you want it for music though, stay away from logitech and look into something by like M-audio. I heard the corsair 2500 system is good but I'm not very well versed on speaker system so I'm not the one to ask.

If you're using shared hosting (and you probably are), you'll need to manually add the hostname (domain and/or subdomains) to link to a folder on your webspace using your webhost's control panel. (okay yeah you need to set up hostnames either way but if you're running your own server it just uses the default handler instead). Or something like that
A and AAAA records, you old sod :(
Introducing AAAA records to sites isn't that hard (it's literally like an extra line of config), but getting your host to give you a IPv6 AND an IPv4 address at the same time is. It's a huge pain.
The problem is that his ISP blocks incoming connections on port 80. Pretty much nothing that could be done, except telling everyone to connect to :81.
