Facebook has had nicknames [editline]20th September 2011[/editline] am I missing something
That top right corner is a complete ripoff of Google+.
wow microsoft http://www.itworld.com/it-managementstrategy/205255/windows-8-oem-specs-may-block-linux-booting
I give it a few days tops before a workaround is live, still a dick move by Microsoft.
I am starting to dislike my computer. Ever since I updated Chrome and Windows 7, Chrome doesnt want to show web pages like it used too. A lot of images are not being shown or just plain out claiming a DNS error.
does it like turn it off or something [editline]20th September 2011[/editline] is there something causing problems in this list or is this thing just not compatible with Nightly. same memory usage as before installation
Yeah it doesn't start off activated. This seems to clean up the most memory. As for performance, start up seems a bit slower, but I'm happy to have a bit less performance, if it means it doesn't eat up all my memory. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] Oh an comparison I guess: Enabled: Disabled: Poorly cut together list of addons I have:
OH GOD I feel so much better now. But on a more tech related note, the teacher i'm helping this year had a big box on his desk this morning. As I walked in, he was grinning happily. It was 3 D5100's and 3 of them go pro heros with 1 tripod mount, 1 helmet w/ mount, and a sticky/suction one. It was like Christmas.
I own a D5100 :buddy:
wow microsoft http://www.itworld.com/it-managementstrategy/205255/windows-8-oem-specs-may-block-linux-booting
well, that wasn't surpsing to read at all.
Atleast they're not apple, completely locking the BIOS part out.
To be fair, You would not want people to be able to modify their own property, would you
Atleast they're not apple, completely locking the BIOS part out.
Oh, they did that for user experience, most users just need Safari and a shut down button.
Oh, they did that for user experience, most users just need Safari and a shut down button.
Another retard move by apple. You can not remap what the power button does. For example, funny 1337 kidz walk up to my laptop, then quickly press power button, and then enter. Causing my macbook to just shutdown. Why can't it just be like windows where you can remap the power button to do nothing :|

The first thing i do after getting my laptop ghosted is to remap that. Power button puts laptop to sleep, Lid does nothing, Hibernation in the start menu. Not being able to do that would really annoy me
Oh, they did that for user experience, most users just need Safari and a shut down button.
Cut it off already.

Right clicking in a folder doesn't show the create a new folder option like in windows, you need to make the screen big enough so that the scrollbar disappears and then click in a empty space, or go to the top bar and select create new folder. Reconnecting with Wifi after hibernation is retarded. It doesn't get an ip (Although it does say its connected) until i search for new networks.

All the 1337 kids XD hold down FN and spam the fuck out of the space bar, making the laptop unusable as it constantly switches resolutions. Why can't I disable this shit?
Why would you even need such a function?
I really don't know. Then again, these laptops are the epitome of poor choices. Like including messenger programs that are blocked by the internal firewall, having Adobe Premier Elements not being properly registered so it's completely unusable, smartboard drivers that no one will ever need and a 2010 Computer Skills practise test that doesn't work. I could think of way better programs to include.
Set as desktop background is a useless optio- Oh wait, you're using Vista (nothisisnotaproblem), you haven't encountered that certain problem... yet. :v: [sp]What I mean is, if you apply a wallpaper through personalize on Win. 7, it jpeg rapes the SHIT out of it, and the only way to get around it is to apply the wallpaper through Firefox. PISSES ME OFF TO NO END.[/sp]
Oh god, this. If I have wallpapers as png, I have to open them in Paint.NET, save them as jpg manually with the best quality I can choose, and THEN set it as wallpaper. For actual pictures you wouldn't see jpg compression artefacts, but for more anime-style wallpapers it's really annoying.
My maths teacher hasn't restarted his macbook in about 5 months. His desktop constist of stacked icons all over the place. He wonders why his macbook is slow :v:

It completely negates the point of running a lightweight OS.
What's your budget like? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDRXB20EX-Angled-Silicone-Headphones/dp/B001UE6PAO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1316553690&sr=8-5 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDRXB40EX-Vertical-Silicone-Headphones/dp/B001UE6P9U/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1316553690&sr=8-6 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDRXB41EXB-Extra-Bass-Headphones/dp/B004X5JBT4/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1316553690&sr=8-8
Thanks, budget is sort of middle ground, I'm willing to pay a bit more if they last longer but in the end I'm still a student. Can Shadaez say why his disagreed, I rather be told if there's some flaw with these headphones that you don't realise unless you own them or something.
Shadaez disagrees with everything I say, he seems to dislike any sort of head/earphones that aren't clinical, if you want a less than a shit amount of bass in your earphones there's very little choice. And I don't mean to be condescending, but I'm on head-fi just as much as I am facepunch so my general recommendations aren't just self experience trying to justify a product I bought but the collective decision of experienced headphone users.
One of the most retarded things about Mac OS X in my opinion is this: PRESSING ENTER ON A SELECTED ITEM, RENAMES IT. Who the fuck in their right mind would EVER want this?
