I use GIMP, because Photoshop is too mainstream.
GIMP takes less time.to... "aquire" than photoshop, so thats why I use it.
oh god I fucking knew it how did I see that coming the core 2 duo iMacs at school are somehow better for image editing than the i5 laptops we have and the i3 desktops in most of the classrooms, I tried to get my teacher to justify this and she just said "well they're macs and they're better for that sort of stuff"
Guys, what kind of fps would you get in garry'smod with a X3 and a ASUS EAH5670?
Depends on the resolution. 1280x720 100+FPS easily I think. E5200 and a HD4650 with 80+ FPS easily. With about 30 addons installed. Atleast
Yea and that, and you wouldn't want to virtualize it then right?
Virtualizing my main OS seems just generally silly. Posted on Win7 for maximum irony
You know an assignment is going to be fun when you look at your work and says "Well, I managed to change the title tag to something else" Seems my knowledge of HTML might be a bit rusty after 2 years of disuse
Masses of tabs in FF with YouTube videos in them because I'm too lazy to go through my history to listen to something different, and possibly something resource intensive in the background. I have 8GB but to me it's just silly to have a program or game use any more then 1GB, even if you have the maximum amount of RAM your OS can support.
Why is it silly for a game to use more than 1GB RAM? Games are made so they run as good as possible (read; some games), and therefore they utilize resources as much as possible. If the games runs better when occupying 2GB RAM, that's probably because the game designers didn't think you would be doing much else than concentrating on that full screen program.
I've been playing with my teachers dell latitude XT, didn't realise windows XP was so touch screen friendly. It was actualy comfortable to use.
Holy shit. I haven't even seen a 16:9 CRT monitor before....Also, it weighs just as much as me :v:
Few years ago I had considered going for a Tube HDTV as a monitor. I actually saw a 34" 1080p tv for like 350 bucks or something at wallmart.
After carying a 16:9 27" sony trinitron upstairs, I can say without any doubt I'm not buying a CRT again.
45 fucking kilos? Glad we've evolved tech in massive leaps since then.
Imagine moving that when going to LAN parties Just remembering when i moved my normal CRT. Weight a ton
Sony CRT's are either built like tanks, or filled with lead. I think both statements have some truth to them.

my current monitor weighs ~35 kilos, it's not a far stretch for a 28" CRT to weigh 45
Wow, that things uses 180w, my screen uses 3w...
my monitor uses just over 200 watts. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] both combined use closer to 400
I just realized my subwoofer moves itself if you play it loud enough :colbert: Is this just poor design, or what?
It's bad design. It's good subwoofer design.
