A friend of mine owns a U2711 which is known for being one of the laggiest big IPS panels around, and he kept telling me "It's just a hoax. The input lag people talk about isn't there."
I trusted him :(
Edit: Moral of the story. Dell U3011 is a media, office, and general game monitor. But not a "gaming" monitor.
I just got a dog today.
He can turn on my computer but my parents can't.
[sp]they're Mac users[/sp]
$200 23" panel dedicated to gaming

In that case, I'd use the monitor I have now, but I can feel the delay doing everything on my computer. I feel it in my pointer.
Also I want to game at 2560x1600, I have the computer for it.
Oh my god fuck monitors. My family isn't very well off, so we're stuck with a 4 year old shitty monitor. I went over to my super spoiled friend's house, and played a few games on his ~super expensive~ PRO ALIENWARE GAYMING COMPUTER. Now I can't look at my crappy laptop and desktop the same way.
Moral of the story: don't have rich friends.
how can people not figure out how to turn on a computer unless they are complete morons

I don't think Alienware uses anything besides TN, so check out a well calibrated IPS panel if you want to feel terrible about your hardware.
this will annoy some people, but my TN panel still looks great compared to this new monitor, I miss big pixels.
I have 6 monitors :hehe:
now I know you all are Alienware fans so I got you some coupons:
Proof that alienware is a ripoff, choosing a 2500k instead of a 2600k costs 50$ more:

It's also a higher clock, people see GHZ more than model I think. They must be basing it off that.
I wouldn't pay for a fucking overclock that you can do better yourself. (You can reach 4.5 without even touching anything else than the multiplier)
[editline]26th September 2011[/editline]
They also sell a 2600k at 4.1 for 200$ more
You're talking about alienware customers.
School better fucking hurry to end so I can go to work :v:
10 pounds vs 50-100 pounds when you have to replace your mobo when your hair electrocutes it
unlike you I don't have heavy metal rocker hair that goes into my pc when I replace parts/fix problems
My only danger is my hands, I am always so scared of static dischargement with new components.
And I keep forgetting to buy those damn straps.

What if we're the /dev/urandom of some space-geek's Linux rig?

My parents kept hitting the reset button then the dog walked up to see what was going on and his nose hit the power button. He had no clue what happened and the fans spooked him and he booked it downstairs.

My mom can't work our TV, she's hopeless when it comes to anything electronic.
