I was at Fry's the other day and there was some dumb guy. He was talking to an employee, and said "I just purchased a new desktop computer. I want to make it wireless." The employee went "Oh, I'll direct to you to the isle where you can get components for wireless internet..." Then the guy said "No, I want the POWER CORD to be wireless. I don't want any cords coming out of the back to make my desk look neat." uh
If Tesla was still alive... think of the possibilities.

Aaah oh god, I have one of those flash drives with the slide out plug I think some dust or sand got into the case somehow because sliding it makes this horrible crunchy grinding noise :ohdear:
I never use my USB flash drives. But I have like 10 of them. I need to do something cool with them. Any ideas?
readyboost!
I never use my USB flash drives. But I have like 10 of them. I need to do something cool with them. Any ideas?
Put them in a damn bag, and hold on to them until that inevitable moment you need one, and none can be found.
Put them in a damn bag, and hold on to them until that inevitable moment you need one, and none can be found.
He will then proceed to lose the bag.
He will then proceed to lose the bag.
At least a bag is easier to find than a flash drive.
except you have a single laptop that belongs to you so i don't know where you're getting "everything"
I have three - the two older ones I use mainly as servers and I'll be getting one or two desktops within a month or so, also VMs
I have three - the two older ones I use mainly as servers and I'll be getting one or two desktops within a month or so, also VMs
you've complained loudly and often that the laptops didn't belong to you, wasn't aware that had changed
Interestingly, I am sick and going to stay home tomorrow. This stupid cold has been getting worse and worse since last week, now I keep almost coughing my lungs out every hour or so.
I have the same as you and it has been like this for a week +1 day
Derp. macs. During this sociology class i've entered the wifi password on about 7 macbooks. ($F1r3W0rk$N1ghT?# after a while you'll just start remembering it..) Then some dude would just power his mac on, and it would display a white screen. It refused to boot any further. Hold alt key for boot device menu didn't do shit, as did single-user/verbode mode. LOL APPLE LOL
I'm VNC'd into another linux PC which is also hooked up to my monitor, I have UltraVNC open fullscreen on my main monitor but of course there is some lag. So what did I do? Change my monitor to the other PC and there is no input lag. Basically, VNC is working as a network input. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] I guess it's working as a KVM. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] ...I'm tempted to set up a VNC server on my PC and connect back to my desktop :v:
you've complained loudly and often that the laptops didn't belong to you, wasn't aware that had changed
nothing changed nobody complained

ok, so apparently the reason I can't use a switch is because it creates noise on the network. wat. Anyway, at least I now have 4 network cables to work with. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] Maybe they mean wireless noise...I think the network is wireless as well as wired. I have no idea.
