This is why people fucking pirate.
It's not because the pirates offer the product for nothing.
It's because they offer a better fucking copy of it.
I dont see how pirating would solve anything, you dont need battlelog to play singleplayer and to play online it does require it, so if you pirate it, would you even be able to play online?!
Woah what. I just checked my router and something's happened.
I've jumped from around 600Kbit up to 1Mbit up. Downstream is like 100Kbit faster too. Weird.

My CS class is pretty okay, we're learning VB right now.
I was looking through the Student Shared files, and came across "VB Showcase": Tons of games made in VB and Visual basic alone, all of which were from the final project of the semester (You get a good couple weeks to work on your program). Most of them were horrible, some didn't work, but this one stuck out.
I can't even run it on Vista, but if anyone is using XP (The school computer I was playing it on runs XP) or 7 (compatibility mode?), they may want to have a shot at playing this "game".
After using Windows 7 for a few months now, I can safely say that this is the best new feature I've used.
Have you guys seen the new Hyper 212? Its called Hyper 212 Evo
What's different about it?
I dont see how pirating would solve anything, you dont need battlelog to play singleplayer and to play online it does require it, so if you pirate it, would you even be able to play online?!
Battlelog is required for all game types, including Singleplayer and coop. There is no local menu.

So, I finally got around to making a LinkedIn profile. As soon as I send some requests out, I get a message back from a guy I worked with on that NASA deal.
Take note: This guy is 40-45 years old and has been in the IT field for about 20 years.
My name is also spelled "Chris":

I mean, holy shit, how does he work in IT when he types like this?
When i was cleaning the heatsink on my GPU i managed to strip one of the screw holes that holds the heatsink to the PCB

The screw circled by red is the stripped one
I loosened the screw circled in yellow so the pressure was sort of even.
Running furmark for 5 minutes makes it go all the way to 90 degrees and makes the thing sound like a jet engine.
Would it be a good idea to get this heatsink?
Also is www.dabs.com any good
Considering getting a HTC ChaCha on a contract, it's only £7 a month for Virgin customers and it's pretty much what I need.
I like physical keyboards, and I don't like the Blackberry OS which is why I'm trying to stay away from it. This has Gingerbread (2.3.3) on it, it's a step up from the Blackberry I could get in the same price range because it has a touch screen and two cameras.
Opinions? Other than the incredibly dumb name and incredibly dumb Facebook button, it seems like a good phone. I was just wondering if anybody had one and if they're in fact terrible or not.

I don't see Android phones with non-sliding physical keyboards a good idea.
it's that, a Wildfire S (I really don't like them, my mother has one) or a Blackberry Curve 9300 - which again, I really don't want

How come?
How come?
Smaller screens in favour of keyboard, try playing Angry birds or some shit on that small screen.
the only problem that I can see, really, is that themes won't work because basically the UI is just like a HTC Desire for example but locked to landscape mode so it looks right on the smaller screen

I have the latest gen iPod Touch for things like that, I only ever use my phone to text people or browse the web while I'm out and about or in school

just use a different screw
It's the screw hole
so find a screw that's a size bigger

Fair enough then.
On the topic of Android phones: What do you guys think of the LG Optimus Black I might be getting it on a contract, soon.
It's not necessarily a bad phone, if you can ignore the tiny screen and have relatively small hands (I've tried my friends blackberry bold, holy shit you need small hands to type half decently on these things) then it's a pretty good deal for £7 a month.
Little update on that situation with my teacher, he's at the football game right now so I doubt I'll hear from him tonight.
Does anyone know what I can do to cancel my phone contract? I got my Desire HD about 6 months ago on a two year contract (£25 a month) and I want a new phone, dual core and whatnots, is there a free way to get out of this? Should I just stop paying them and see what happens or what?

Afaik you should be able to cancel on a month to month basis now, thanks to the EU? There's no free way though. You could call them and ask them to exchange the phone though.
That would also probably cost me though, I wonder how much...
