Guys, can you try to SSH to nikomo.info on port 62? Username public, it won't ask you for a password. If someone knows how to make the MOTD show up before it asks for a username instead of after log in, that'd be great.
Nethack? :v:
Nethack. :v: I like how it uses the username as a username for the game. Hello public, the gnomish Archeologist, welcome back to NetHack!

Oh, By the way brt, my new monitor has no stuck, hot or dead pixels. Just saying that before you get all swag on me about your better monitors.
Shiit. I have like no room on my desk for monitors so they can be nicely seen. I have one too back so it has only a half of it on the desk. I tried to turn it a bit and kicked it away from the desk. Luckily, the wall was right behing it so it didn't fall

What the fuck, I was going to check if a SATA cable wasn't properly inserted as my DVD reader/writer only works when it feels like it. Opened my computer up and found spider webs and parts of spiders that have probably been chopped off by a fan, can their destructive acts have done anything damaging to my computer?
Looks like they tried to surf the web ehuheuheuehue
Nothing can beat the Intel EXTREME graphics 2

Don't think while you type. I wanted to listen to Madeon's Pop Culture, so typed "ma" into the address bar. Then I realized I probably haven't listened to it on Chrome yet so it's not in my history, so I started typing Youtube, so I typed "yo". At that point, I noticed my problem, but I might as well finish up and I ended up searching for mayonnaise on Google.
Reminds me of when I went from a Nvidia GeForce 7300GS to a Radeon HD 5770
You want from darkness into light? I went from an integrated 256Mb 8600M GT on a laptop to a 1.3gb GTX 570 on a lower res screen. Holy shit it was orders of magnitude more powerful (32 cores to 480!). Not that it didn't serve me well, 30fps in bad company 2 all low, 30fps in crysis medium. I have no idea how it managed that on a 1680*1050 display. Oh yes I do, at 720p and 800*600 respectively. Now it's gonna spend the rest of its days rendering xScreenSavers.
Just tried the Chrome remote access app to connect to my laptop. Works fine. Got an idea though It's Chrome in chrome, Controlling a OS in an OS All i need now i another link from the laptop i was controlling to another computer via chrome too
I just picked up my new Amstrad monitor and Amstrad CPC 464. It's working absolutely perfectly and the display is so damn sharp... Selling my old Amstrad CPC and its RF modulator to get my money back for it.
Could somebody translate those beep codes for me? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32264365/data-2011-10-11-20-59-57.3gp Specs of that computer - It has Award or Phoenix BIOS.
I'm not entirely sure, but I had a pheonix BIOS board do that to me when a RAM module was fucked.
I'm not entirely sure, but I had a pheonix BIOS board do that to me when a RAM module was fucked.
Tried taking out one, booting same. Taking out other, same. Has two sticks of DDR RAM, both are 256MB.
Does clearing the CMOS make any difference?
Does clearing the CMOS make any difference?
The CMOS battery is empty. Setting it to the Clear CMOS jumper settings, it does only that it boots up, gives no errors etc. but no video output. [editline]11th October 2011[/editline] Also, a friggin bottle blew up in my kitchen. It was home-brewed beer. It started like a rocket and smashed the glass shelf over it.
If the battery is empty surely the RTC is set to 00:00 all the time, and motherboards like to complain about that.
If the battery is empty surely the RTC is set to 00:00 all the time, and motherboards like to complain about that.
I can not even boot it up in any ways ( Sends out no video signal ) And when I boot it up the first thing I do is setting te date/time right and doing a few other fixes in BIOS. (Like boo order and disabling floppy drive (It likes to complain about it))
I would just get a new battery, you arent supposed to actualy operate the computer while those pins are shorted as it can do damage. Go nick the battery out of an unused pc :v:
