What's the website that has a bunch of information of an image on your choice, usually helps to see if a photo is shopped or something?
Tineye?
Tineye?
That's just a reverse image search, doesn't matter anyway don't need it anymore, thanks though.
I just realized that I can't order from Newegg with cash. now how the hell do I obtain PC parts
Maybe Valve should monitor what news gets displayed in Steam...
Maybe if you'd read the article you'd know what it's about? It's not like it hurts Valve's reputation, it was just a packaging issue on the publisher's part.
-snip- [editline]22nd October 2011[/editline] okay im adding a lot of you to steam
Any use for registry cleaners? I use CCleaner since it's nice to get some free space on my SSD. I managed to gain 5GB on my 64gb SSD even after doing manual cleaning. And it cleaned some internet cache stuff from Firefox.
I'm about to run GTA IV. We'll see how well it works... EDIT: That went well...
I don't think this thing is worth $10,000 as he said, even with two MARS IIs I'd say $5,000 max, suppose they add another $5,000 just because it's Falcon Northwest and has a snot green finish.. Still I wouldn't complain if I got this.
I find ATI's numbering scheme kinda confusing. Nvidia numbers their cards so much better. You know a card with 70 in it is better than one with 60 because 70 is a bigger number than 60! Also why the hell did Nvidia skip 1xx and 3xx? I know they got some mobile 3xx's or something, but I don't think I've ever seen a 1xx before. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] According to this thread I must be completely retarded because I don't know a few things and am just curious. Thanks guys.
last sentence hit the nail right on the head
Shit dude, I just built a guy a whole computer. All I'm saying is that the ATI numbering scheme is more confusing and complex than Nvidia. I still know which one is better if I look at benchmarks and shit. We're not always supposed to act like snobby know-it-alls here.
What the hell are you talking about. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] Are you saying it's confusing between the, say 9000 series and the HD 4800 series?
I think you misunderstood me a bit. I neglected to mention that this only works if the cards have the same first number. Like a 470 is better than a 460. A 270 may necessarily not be better than a 460 just because of the 70.
Also why the hell did Nvidia skip 1xx and 3xx? I know they got some mobile 3xx's or something, but I don't think I've ever seen a 1xx before.
They didn't. Well, sort of. The 100s were mostly rebranded 9000s (9500GT, 9600GSO (itself a rebranded 8800GS), 9600GS and the GTS250), the 300s were rebranded 200s. Both are OEM-only - can't buy them in stores, only in prebuilts. And yes, it's both stupid and kind of dickish.
The 3xx series from Nvidia exists, it's just OEM only. edit: ninja'd.

Fuck it this is getting really confusing now. I know the Nvidia numbering scheme. I'm just gonna look up ATI's on the internet or something. I think I need to not ask questions for the sake of having a conversation on a forum.
Its similar to the nvidia scheme. Using the 6970 you have the 6 for the series, the 9 is sortof the performance range (9-8 being enthusiast, 7-6 being more mainstream, 5-4 being entry-level, 3-2-1 being integrated APU), and the last 2 digits being the performance level within the range. Pretty straight-forward really- the higher the last 3 numbers, the faster the card. (don't do a direct number comparison between series though- those don't always end up as you'd expect)
ATI's is fucking simple. It's way more straightforward. You're just retarded.
ATI's is fucking simple. It's way more straightforward. You're just retarded.
Such kind words. Is that how you treat everyone here? Anyways, thanks everyone else for at least not being a fucking asshole (besides Derpmeifter).
Such kind words. Is that how you treat everyone here?
You can't grasp a numbering system. What the hell.
You can't grasp a numbering system. What the hell.
I got it now. I'm not too used to ATI's cards. I've mainly dealt with Nvidia.
Such kind words. Is that how you treat everyone here? Anyways, thanks everyone else for at least not being a fucking asshole (besides Derpmeifter).
6770 < 6790 NOT. FUCKING. HARD.
6770 < 6790 NOT. FUCKING. HARD.
Got it. We all start somewhere.
Got it. We all start somewhere.
Hopefully not somewhere like this, You don't try to get into RTS' by playing Starcraft, that game has one of the most unforgiving communities around, much like Facepunch. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] I'm not saying "GTFO", I'm just saying be careful, I guess.

Guys, how about a fresh start? I'm sorry for starting shit and lashing out here. I'm not the best at this stuff yet, but I'm still learning. Did you know that Apple cables look pretty good if you tear the plastic shit off (Or in my case, let it fall off naturally) [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] For those curious, the other side is just as bad Yes that's duct tape with an arrow carved into it :v:
