Chrome has the best font rendering of all the major browsers, what are you talking about?
It looks like chrome has improved the font rendering (identical to firefox, better than IE) since I last used it, but the css3 things are still horrible.
For example:

What exactly should I be looking for?

Oh neat, the VLC nightlies have some revised UI elements :v:

Mine doesn't look anything like that. They're identical.

Welcome to facepunch. I don't know what else you expected from us.
I still need an answer to my question earlier
all everyone did was gawk at the length of the screenshot
Pepper;32965126']What do you guys think of this?

I can't see it, so I will assume it is one of those things you only notice after being told about it and then are driven insane from it. Example, 16Khz sound from small CRT tvs, or low quality florescent lights that flicker when viewed from the corner of your eye, or how the trail behind an LED in a dark room jumps in your vision instead of leaving a constant after image; and more.
Also how does Opera's font rendering rank?
Alright, I need advice.
My laptop's been having issues lately. It will randomly shut off, HARD, like the power supply just dropped dead. It mostly seems to do it while I'm moving it (picking it up, etc) but not always.
When it does, it will refuse to power back on. Pressing the on button does nothing. Holding it does nothing. The solution I've found it to unplug it from AC, remove the battery, and then wait several seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
That much isn't news to you all. That was just a recap. I've said it before, asking for advice; nobody here could figure it out.
But, I got to talking about it with my boss today. She had the thought that it could be the CMOS battery dying. That does somewhat add up - it's obviously a power problem of some sort, and the thing is old enough that it makes sense.
However, I've opened the laptop up several times, and don't remember seeing one. And Google is returning surprisingly vague/unusable results for "asus m50 cmos battery", which leads me to suspect that perhaps it doesn't have one. And I'm reluctant to just pop the thing open and search for it, since I have a very bad history with laptop surgery.
So my question is "does her advice make any sense"?
See if it works fine without a battery at all, I had a faulty battery in another laptop and it would do the same thing, so I removed it and it works fine now.

How about you try again after you've turned off that userscript.

I'm going to try that now. If you don't hear from me in five minutes, it's because my machine shut off when I do it.

Nope, it works fine on just AC. Don't like doing it, though - the new power adapter I have is a bit small, and it comes unplugged pretty often for no reason. With a battery, it's just a "hey, why is the screen dark? Oh yeah, power settings. Plug must've come loose". Without...

If you think that looks fine then you probably won't notice chromes rendering issues, which is how you're able to put up with it. I just can't stand things like that.

Not really an issue, just a different way of doing it. If they're all the same circle, the Chrome one doesn't go outside of the bounds the circle is set to to antialias it, instead it only antialiases inside the circle.
Oh hey, Youtube is offering to give me ad revenue from my videos. Even though I have virtually no videos. (the only one that gets views is a Coldplay song.)
Fun story.
I spilled some tea on my monitor and my G510.
turns out it just landed on the surface of the monitor, I carefully cleaned the monitor and the stand, desk, etc.
Then took 2 hours to disassemble my keyboard and dried the whole thing with a pile of Q tips and 3 fans on my desk.
And we're back in business.
So I was watching Tron: Legacy again.
You know the part where [sp]Flynn is playing with his dads computer thing before he gets zapped into the grid?[/sp]
Well I noticed these.

No wonder the computer is in a tiny room under an arcade, the rest of the basement must be dedicated to an array of RAM :v:

I bet the system actually had 4GB of RAM, but can't use the rest since the installed a 32-bit OS
[editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
Also, I bought my Droid 3 the week it came out (which is almost 4 months ago) and then this just happened:

Well of course, but the computer is from the 80's.

The problem isn't what it's anti-aliasing, it's that it's doing it cheaply. Although since chrome is supposed to be fast, you'd expect it to have speed over graphics, which is why I don't use it. I'd rather have the graphics.

As I read this post, I was listening to the song from the scene where Flynn enters the arcade. :v:
