I am so glad I scrolled through the fonts page on Linux. Times. Times everywhere.

Is garry content for using the VB .NET icon (Probably the most hated programming language here) for the Programming forum?
Is garry content for using the VB .NET icon (Probably the most hated programming language here) for the Programming forum?
Seems like a great way to piss them off intentionally to me
Debian is currently installing on my Powerbook. Today is the day my Powerbook becomes a MAN.
It's amazing what you can do with a Fisher Price computer with enough modifications.
Here's how I like to think of OS X: Fisher-Price Baby's First UNIX! Speaking of which, those kid's laptop things were great fun when you're little. "PICK AN ACTIVITY!"
Fun fact: iPhone doesen't have comic sans so all the silliness does nothing except maybe change the size.

Heh heh. Debian on PPC comes with no GUI by default. What do?
apt-get install kde alternatively apt-get install gnome alternative to the alternative apt-get install fluxbox also available apt-get install afterstep but call in the next five minutes and you can also use apt-get install wmii

KDE was slow as balls when I had my 350 MHz iMac G3. Something like Fluxbox or LXDE would be better on that PowerBook.
Heh heh. Debian on PPC comes with no GUI by default. What do?
Wow that's inconvenient. I'm not ashamed to say I would be close to useless. Bash is still a little confusing to me atleast I'm trying to learn. vi is really fun the first time especially when no one tells you how to exit and you restart your vm to get out of it. I'm glad there's online shit one can read to understand this nonsense.
What would you advise for a low-end system with 256mb RAM? :v:
Openbox.
Hmm, apt-get and aptitude can't find any candidates, or plain can't find the package. I tried all of 'em.
Oh snap hold the fuck on I should install a GUI on the vm I have to use for school they have it removed when you get it. We bring this vm to exams and all that shit. I've been ftping the answers into the vm and just using less to read it.

How often and long do you really look at it
It moaned a bit about network when I was installing last time, so I'm gonna try reinstalling... WITH AN ETHERNET CABLE IN.
So, my grandpa REALLY wants to buy me an iMac  Said I didn't want one, now I can get any laptop under $1,000  I got my list down to 4, is there anything better? 1.
What would you advise for a low-end system with 256mb RAM? :v:
Try WindowMaker (sudo apt-get install wmaker). I ran it on a system with 384mb just fine, provided I kept Firefox to under 20 tabs.

[editline]12th July 2011[/editline] Oh, sweet, the installer offered to download some extra packages. Me gusta.
About the "alot" thing: I've been using it for as long as I've been writing, because I picked it up back when my main activity was reading (I used to read alot) and I've been using it ever since. Once I figured out it was Engrish, I stopped using it in formal settings 'n whatnot, but I still use it alot in informal stuff (such as this post) even though I'm using proper grammar in punctuation & speling 'n shiz as I write this here post~

The psu in my server died, cheap onboard psu.
Speaking of Compwhizzi, gmod.eu must be pretty desperate to get customers for their shitty host by constantly forcing it to be Garry's title.
He means it was bought with the case.
