I tend to use the Ubuntu font if it's available.
Otherwise Google Webfont's Jura is good.
On another note, the Android 4.0 font "roboto" is in the AUR and it's amazingly sexy.

What fonts do you guys use? Droid Sans? Ubuntu? Helvetica? MS Sans?
The default one.

Could you just important other font files?

I was talking on your PC(s)
Wingless has been bashing Battlelog for not working with coop for the past 2 hours, and then he figured out Avast and Windows Firewall were causing it :v:
I was talking on your PC(s)
Oh.
Still default. I've never give a shit about fonts unless it's Comic Sans.
Oh look, the workgroup appears now, but my computer isn't in it :suicide:
Why is networking always so incredibly broken between operating systems? Even between windows versions it's still bitchy and will only work when it wants. I tried setting up my old XP desktop as a printer server once, but although it could connect to the vista and win 7 computers, they couldn't connect to it.
Then one day it worked all of a sudden on all computers, but a month later when I reformatted the vista computer, all of them stopped working again.
Even getting my vista laptop and win 7 desktop to connect for file sharing doesn't work after the win 7 computer was reformatted (and before then, it'd only work if passwords were enabled, otherwise you'd get access denied).
I recently found out that my school blocks the website that they have the school handbooks on.

It just wasn't working :smith:
That's happened to me more times than I'd care to admit.

There is a registry value you need to edit to get file sharing working without passwords.
And I agree with you, Samba has never worked properly for me.

Also mainly talking xorg, where the default font rapes you in the eye socket.

I REALLY hate networking PCs. A friend will occasionally bring over his desktop to game with me and copy torrents (Which he started from the Transmission webgui) to his computer. Unfortunately, his computer refuses to see my server. When reinstalls windows, it works for a while then stops working again.
I hope Windows 8 makes it easier for regular people to network computers. Airdrop in OSX Lion seems like a solution, though that doesn't exactly help me when most of my computers are PCs.
Glad I'm not the only one with issues trying to print over the network
Fiddle with it for 2 hours, finally give up and just e-mail myself what I'm trying to print and print it at the computer that's directly connected to the printer
time taken doing that: 15 minutes
ffs

I think I might set roboto as my PC's font. I already flashed it onto my gingerbread phone.
I think I might actually like Droid Sans more. Each to his own.
It looks awful on windows. I'm not sure if it's truetype screwing it up or if it's meant to be larger.
Back to segoe UI
Printing isn't that bad anymore, now that I know the trick. You get the actual driver files (You can extract the installer sometimes), then go on the computer you want to print from. When you add a new printer, instead of clicking Add a Network Printer, choose add a local printer. Then when it asks you to choose a port, create a new local port. When it asks for the port name, enter the network path to the printer. For example, here's the printer hooked up to my mom's desktop: \\Diane-PC\CANON
If you can't find your printer from the list of drivers in Windows, click Have Disk and browse to the printer drivers you downloaded. In my case, I found our Canon Inkjet MP210 on the list and just hit next.
This would be much easier if the computer the printer was attached to was running the same OS, though it was running XP and my computers run Windows 7.
Segoe UI is the only font that "works" for me in windows.
It's a Dell printer, Apple doesn't like Dell apparently
I have a dell printer that I have set up on my Macbook just fine, getting it to work on Windows 7 for some reason was a pain in the ass, but on XP it was strangely easy
We have an HP printer in our house that's hooked up to my stepfathers Debian 6.0 machine. Only my linux dual-boots can print to it and we're too lazy to make it work on Windows so I set it up where I just dropbox whatever and either reboot or slide the 2 feet to his computer and go to the link and print.

To enable file-sharing without passwords:
Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Local Security Policies.
THEN
Local Policies>Security Options- third entry down should be "Accounts:Limit local account use of..." Disable this

That went down well.
