assuming you're still on XP you can send basic messages between computers with error dialogs. One mo, just googling the command.name again.
My motherboard doesn't support USB 3.0. So it doesn't matter, they'll just be wasted. If you'd like to do the video you can, but looking at the pics on Newegg it looks like the cable management is pretty mediocre.
I meant to say Rosewill FUTURE case. The cable management on this case is not so good either. Was also just gonna make the video for noise comparison.
net send [editline]1st November 2011[/editline] my merge!
I meant to say Rosewill FUTURE case. The cable management on this case is not so good either.
Atleast there is cable management on this one, the other one didn't have shit :v:
Some guy uses "Shutdown -i" command to remotely shut down other computers
Haha I'm just imagining random people around the room being like "what the fuck??"
Atleast there is cable management on this one, the other one didn't have shit :v:
Wait which case are you talking about. I'm confused :S
Wait which case are you talking about. I'm confused :S
The first case you told me about had no cable management whatsoever, but the Rosewill FUTURE does atleast.
A nice clean Lian Li case.
A nice clean Lian Li case.
Whats one with decent airflow/fans and cable management with a black interior?
Curse you, Internet Explorer! So I made a pretty nice looking site for my internship. Good color scheme, nice layout, generally good fonts (unfortunately, one falls back to "cursive", which is usually Comic Sans, but there's at least three fonts in the chain above it), and rounded corners everywhere. At least, that's assuming you use Firefox. Or Chrome. Or Safari. Or Opera. But no, half the company uses Internet Explorer. Some are still on 6, and absolutely refuse to change. Given that some of the employees are so computer-unsavvy as to need hand-holding to use Youtube, that's not really something I can do anything about. All I can do is try to make stuff work in IE. The rounded corners being gone are OK. I mean, it doesn't look bad without them, and I'm not doing a million image hacks to fake it. But there's one <div> that's supposed to look like a post-it note, saying "Hello, $user" and how many messages they have. So it's tilted 20 degrees, to look more note-ey. Firefox is easy - -moz-transform: rotate(20deg); Same for Safari and Chrome: -webkit-transform: rotate(20deg); And Opera: -o-transform: rotate(20deg); There's also a "standard" (transform: rotate(20deg);), which doesn't seem to work well with some browsers. I put it in, but put all the browser-specific ones in as well, since some are on very old versions. IE, as of IE9, supports a -ms-transform, but only one person in the company uses it, and only for testing. So, I had to find something else. And, after a bit of searching, I did: IE Filters. If you've worked with them, I imagine you're reacting like I just said "ActiveX". Or "Comic Sans MS". A filter is a very IE-specific pseudo-CSS snippet that tries to give the web page some DirectX functionality. Most mimic cheap Photoshop filters - emboss, blur, drop shadow. The only one of interest is the matrix transformation. It's not a Matrix "falling code" effect. It's a 2D matrix multiplication. Which, in theory, is pretty powerful - you could do a rotation, translation and a skew effect in one go. If they extended it to a 4x4 matrix instead of 2x2, they could even do some impressive 3D stuff. And it's compatible all the way back to 5.5, maybe to IE4. But the downside is that it's complicated as fuck. Doing that 20 degree rotation required four trig functions and converting to radians. Yeah. FUN. I did, eventually, get it working. And then I discovered a problem. It does no antialiasing. NONE. It looks sort of like this (that isn't IE, but the problem is similar), but even worse. I added a drop-shadow filter just to mitigate it (using a filter so it doesn't mess up real browsers). So yeah, fuck you, Internet Explorer. Even when I follow your rules, you still look like shit.
what are you talking about filters is IE 6's only redeeming feature
what are you talking about filters is IE 6's only redeeming feature
Sure, if you like vendor-specific, nonstandard extensions that take way too much work and don't work that well. If I really, REALLY cared about making it look good in IE6, I would've made a quick Java applet. But, I don't give a shit, since now it looks mediocre and I'm not going to touch it again.
So the local YoungLife group (they're a church-y kind of thing but whatever) made this. It's not content in any way but I think you might get a kick out of this one.
looks like you tried to game on a mac
It won't boot up now and I smell smoke.
yep that's what happens when you try to game on a mac
Funny seeing as I played and beat MW2 on it in Windows 7, yet in OSX it dies playing CoD 2 on that MacBook.
It won't boot up now and I smell smoke.
You have apple care for it right?
You have apple care for it right?
Of course.
Funny seeing as I played and beat MW2 on it in Windows 7, yet in OSX it dies playing CoD 2 on that MacBook.
again gaming on a mac
Of course.
Well with any luck this little meltdown is covered and they will fix if for free.
again gaming on a mac
It makes no sense. [editline]1st November 2011[/editline]
Well with any luck this little meltdown is covered and they will fix if for free.
I hope. I did plan on getting a new laptop soon but not this soon.
I hope. They just updated a few days ago with new graphics cards so hopefully this won't happen again..

When I got it brand new I only paid about $850 for it because of discounts and other things so getting a free replacement or another discount would be cool.
It makes no sense.
You just can't go making it do things it wasn't designed for. It just can't handle it.
You just can't go making it do things it wasn't designed for. It just can't handle it.
Seeing as Apple advertises games on their systems and have actual lists of games that are known to work with which model of their products I think it's ok to play games the systems that fall into said list for my laptop. I beat CoD 2 just fine on it before but today it decided to die after just two days short of being three years old after constant use.
It's not your fault. A computer shouldn't break just because of being used. It's most likely due to the incredibly shitty cooling system that Apple uses.
