he's been saving for a few years and this is going to be his first real computer (by real i mean high powered, not not a mac even though i think they're fisher price computers)
Yes, I've been saving up for this for about 1 1/2 years, and it will be the first time I own my own computer (Up until now I have used my family's shared Macs.)
Also, I may have a little bit of money left over after I build it, although it would probably be minuscule after I buy my keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc. If I do have any left over, I'll donate a bit to the server.

Wow, that is some dedication man. Good job, I hope you enjoy that thing tremendously. It is amazing building your own because every time you look at it, you will just think "I made that."

Oh god, I love this feeling. I've grown up around computers all my life and they've all been prebuilts, up until February when I built one. And i'll tell you what, the sensation is the best.

I have a strong feeling that this project won't last long.

We need a rep. for east coast and 1 or 2 for Europe.

What about ARMA II?
Also, not even computer related, but I need some help. My dad just handed me this weird multitool-knife-spike-thing that he found on the side of the road and wants me to find out what the hell it is. It is made entirely out of stainless steel, is like a multitool knife, and it has on one side a 3 inch long, slightly curved spike, and on the other it has a 2 inch long serrated knife and a long oval shaped loop that folds out.
Anyone have any idea what it is?

I'm actually in between the East coast and the part you have me labeled for. I could probably cover the rest of the US.

I can't scrap it just yet. My dad wants to know what it is exactly so he can find out if it is worth anything on eBay.
i get it for USA thanks
johnbooth, spartan made a good point: you're never in chat so you can't really know when we spontaneously game
I get it for Canada thanks :v:
ok, for coverage:
2 people in north america that are active in chat
2-3 people in europe also active in chat
and a person and maybe 2 in australia or new zealand again who are active in chat

Does it have a brand name on it or anything? If not it is a generic version not worth anything, they sell them for like $2 to $10. A lot of multitools are like that. If you want a decent one you pay $20 to $50 or more or you just get the generic one for cheap, but works like shit.
But if you can find a name.
Then again, a lot of people don't buy that kind of stuff off of ebay I wouldn't think.
