Extremely late, but still incredibly funny:

Is all DDR3 ram SDRAM? I am confused.

I just realized the new computers my school bought this year come with windows 7 but they uninstalled it and installed XP on them.
I just realized the new computers my school bought this year come with windows 7 but they uninstalled it and installed XP on them.
most schools do that, whether it be for compatibility with old ass 16bit software or familiarity with the software
I might upgrade my computer next payday. I'm thinking 6870, 4 gigs of ram (Corsair XMS 2x2 set, cas 8. to match with my current 4 GB, for a total of 8 gigs) and phenom II 965.
[editline]7th November 2011[/editline]
the 6870 under load uses a whopping 20 watts less power than my current card but I'm a little afraid of switching from a 65w cpu to a 125w cpu
[editline]7th November 2011[/editline]
I've got a 585w PSU and the setup I'm shooting for should only use 512w (according to newegg power calculator) so I should be good
It won't use 512w, not even under full load.
So I just checked my power settings... I was on power saver as well...
FUCK.
go to a new class today
almost everyone is a CoD and alienware fanboy
i say that BF3 is better
hilarity ensues as the class breaks out into a war between BF3 and CoD fanboys.

They both have their merits, but in most cases BF3 will win. Except, sadly, sales.
Which is due in part to EA's shit customer service, and Origin. Thus I'll not be buying it.
It won't use 512w, not even under full load.
I know but my power supply is only rated for 78% efficiency.
that was fine and good when it came out in 2005 but these days it's a pretty poor rating
[editline]7th November 2011[/editline]
that and I overclock pretty hard
Even with overclocking you won't pass 300-350w on full load.
So guys, I guess I'm a bully.

I was, and I think the realization that associating myself with those scumbags helped lead to my suicidal tendencies. :v:

Basically it underclocks your CPU and shit.
No it doesn't. These settings only adjust things such as screen brightness, when does the system goes to sleep and etc. Underclocking CPU are done automatically by the BIOS (and sometimes proprietary drivers) if you enable things like TurboBoost and SpeedStep.

That doesn't make sense. If I put my laptop into power saver mode, the CPU stays clocked at 1Ghz, opposed to 2.1Ghz. Believe me I've stressed it with Prime95 and the clock doesn't budge.
god damnit htc, I wanted my phone to have ICS
And that fucking karkand dlc is $15

Time to buy a new phone and hope the annoying fact that phones aren't supported for more than 6 months with Android ends.
Also, quad core processor in a phone... whoever thought/thinks this is needed needs to kill themselves.
And that fucking karkand dlc is $15
Shoulda pre-ordered.

The drivers are doing it then. It's possible that it checks what power mode it is in, and the driver adjusts the CPU frequencies accordingly to your selection.

I notice I can squeeze a lot of extra battery out of my laptop by going into the advanced power settings, then setting the Maximum processor state (Under processor power management) to something like 85%. The performance drop is noticeable if I'm browsing the internet, though it's not totally unusable if I stay away from flash video, which is fine considering I mainly use it for taking notes and light web browsing.

We don't really need it Yet, though it might be nice later on. The main problem I see is power consumption. My single core Nexus S can last through the day, though I'm not a heavy user. If you're actually using those four cores, the battery life will probably drop like a rock.
Shoulda pre-ordered.
I'm not going to buy a game before it comes out, how would I know it's a good?

It's not Android, it's whoever makes the phone and the carrier. My phone wasn't exactly a god of a phone when I got it either.

I never got this
why would you run around with a fucking sniper rifle
and why don't they aim with it

They do aim with it.
They do aim with it.
By aim I meant use the fucking scope on the rifle instead of the middle of the screen.
By aim I meant use the fucking scope on the rifle instead of the middle of the screen.
That's not 1337 enough.
By aim I meant use the fucking scope on the rifle instead of the middle of the screen.
I'm probably the only "quickscoper" that aimed with the scope. Drag shots + mediumscopes = way better.
Speaking of Call of Duty, I just got a hat and the game (Xbox 360) for free at the midnight launch party at a Gamestop :v:
