20$ for a dual xeon? What a bargain Now please put Linux on it or something to make it useful
As far as I'm concerned, it's already a full Unix system - it has bash, perl and X11. No need for Linux. I will probably, however, dual-boot Win7 on it.
User-agents are fucking retarded. I'm looking at the Google subsection, see a title about new Youtube interface for OS X Lion + Chrome 15. You can activate it if you change your user-agent to this: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_2) AppleWebKit/535.2 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/15.0.874.106 Safari/535.2 What the FUCK are you supposed to be?
Just thought of something. I need a name for it. All my machines are named for Zelda characters. My laptop is Farore, my BSD shitbox is Nayru, the loud XP rig is Din. I even gave the Wii the name "Navi" (as it's small and occasionally annoying). I'm leaning towards "Ganon" for this one. Ancient power and (metaphorically) evil? Totally fits. "Midna" might also work, or maybe Tatl or someone else. Thoughts?

(I actually scratched the word, quotation marks and all, on the usb drive. For some reason.) Then I figured I could just make the name relate to something completely different than originally intended and named the two partitions Observer and Operator. (It was originally named that because "Arch" sounds like "Ark" obviously)
Also how the hell do I get rid of the floppy disk thing, I've NEVER had one in my PC.
Disable your floppy disk controler in your BIOS.

I have no names for my harddrives, but any computer or VM under my control follow astronomical names such as Taygeta, Celaeno, Pleione and Messier.
Goddamnit Twitter is down and I'm slowly losing the will to live Also I'm fairly sure I have one of these bad-boys sitting around somewhere but I can't find it [thumb]http://a.img-dpreview.com/reviews/kodakdc280/images/th_allroundview.jpg[/thumb] Fucking Kodak DC280, bitches. Compact-Flash (has a 20mb card in it) at 2MP with 2x optical zoon. Top of the range in 1999 (I remember buying it too, it was the fucking shit)
Goddamnit Twitter is down and I'm slowly losing the will to live
I hear this new thing called Myspace might help Also my first drive is called C and my secondary (and close to failing) is called Dead Man Walking
I name my computers after their CPU.
DEAR GOD Even here, I cannot escape it... COMIC SANS! Seriously. Fresh OS X install. Comic Sans MS. what
You cannot escape the comic sans. EVER
You can delete it, that should do it.
What else would they use?
Point is, websites shouldn't depend on browser-specific features at all. Every major browser conforms to most of the modern standards and the rest can just as well break as far as I'm concerned. (Aaaaaand since the useragent string can be changed, it's a really unreliable method.)

What would be the closest-to-PC-browser browser for an android tablet?
Change your Steam password, even though it's totally useless because the passwords are hashed and salted, and there's Steam Guard. Just change it to be safe.
And if you're going to change passwords, do so securely.
My password was five characters anyway so I changed it just in case. Bluhbluh.
I bring the terrible boring content of idiots who think Macs are the best computers ever... unfortunately. Also, this. ...gonna go beat my head against a wall now.
Go watch DigitalRev's cheap body pro lens vs pro body cheap lens video.
The video was okay, though I think they used a Canon Rebel 2Ti. Not exactly "Cheap", I think my Nikon d3100 is more fitting of that category.
...gonna go beat my head against a wall now.
Let's do the math here. OS X 10.1 and Windows XP released pretty much the same time (10.1 was September 2001, XP was released to manufacturers in August and to consumers in October). 10.1 was a free update to 10.0, so I'll use the price for that instead. So you start at $129 to get to 10.1. I can't find the upgrade price for the older versions, so I'll generously assume they're all $39.99 (the current price for 10.7). That's a total of $370 to keep a current version of OS X. XP Home was $99 at launch (from what I can find). Upgrading from XP to Vista Home Premium was $159. Upgrading from Vista to 7 was $119. Total price: $377 Yes, everybody needs to switch to Mac! You save a whopping $7/decade!

When a new OS comes, upgrading to it isn't a priority for me unless the OS in question is abandoned completely. Because I'm poor. If noone gave me Win7 I would still be using XP and being happy with it.
