Like the framerate has got anything with the engine to do
Wouldn't older engines run faster, since oh I don't know. they have less to do?
Wouldn't older engines run faster, since oh I don't know. they have less to do?
And then they say it's on par with BF3. Does MW3 even have precalculated radiosity? BF3 has real time.
Wouldn't older engines run faster, since oh I don't know. they have less to do?
I don't think that's entirely true, as some engines might do things in a way that a newer engine could do better and easier, making the newer engine have a higher FPS than the older engine.
Wouldn't older engines run faster, since oh I don't know. they have less to do?
I'm sure they balanced that out by slapping more post-processing effects and higher poly guns on top
Content. Best Part: "Despite its aging graphics engine, the game maintains a fluid 60fps while pumping out graphics that are easily on par with Battlefield 3."
"Modern Warfare 3 is pure perfection in gameplay and graphics" It looks outdated for a game released in 2008. How is that perfection? "this game is guaranteed to delight all who play now and in the years to come" What years to come? A new CoD game will be released in a year and everyone will ditch MW3.
Maybe he played on console, all games look alike graphics wise, pretty much. [editline]11th November 2011[/editline] Still stupid though.
Been playing Skyrim for 17 hours now. I usually last about 2500 hours. Only a few more years to go!
Check what exe it is that steam loads, set that exe to always run as admin. Steam runs that exe and it is automatically ran in admin mode. Let's say I want to have steam show it if I have spotify running. You then find the exe, go to compatibility and set it to admin mode. And done.
Ah thanks. I never knew you could set an exe to always run as admin.

So I was checking how fragmented my F3 was, I have auto defrag off, i've never defragged it since I bought it. Guess how much was fragmented? Only 2% After two years. I checked my recycle bin, and it's 241GB too :v:
It is apparently possible, although quite hard and slow, to browse porn with Microsoft speech recognition. Though, being alone is advised. (as in: Don't let anyone be within hearing distance of you saying "click nasty beast porn"- in a firm yet clear voice)
what
That must be what it needs to make it actualy look like a modern game. Damn shitty programming infinity ward, nowhere near optimized!
I have managed to screencap the Binary Moment :v:
Huh. My iPod finished charging, so I went to unplug it. A static shock went from my hand, to my iPod, and turned off my computer.
Guess what I got 2: Guess Harder
Guess what I got 2: Guess Harder
Herpes?
Just got battlefield off Intkeys for $30 CAD. I wonder when I get my CD-Key.
Guess what I got 2: Guess Harder
A butthole-widener that runs Android?
Herpes?
No. Droid phone. Original Motorola Droid. Not the newest, but pretty fucking good for a) free and b) upgrading from a Moto.
A butthole-widener that runs Android?
. Buttplug* [editline]11th November 2011[/editline]
No. Droid phone. Original Motorola Droid. Ugh, I am not used to tiny screens and keyboards. Especially not for my massive posts. Back on my laptop now so I can TYPE. And also copy music over to the Droid. Recap: I've been interning at a place for the past six weeks, with today being my last day. It was awesome. It was supposed to be an unpaid internship, but I got: * A 2006 Mac Pro (it was going to be tossed out, as it's old and the hard drive is "a bit wonky" by her reports) * A Droid (the CEO, without consulting IT, bought the entire company iPhones 4S, so there was a stack of Droids and Blackberries sitting there) * four expensed lunches * $100 for working one Sunday (grunt work checking links after a domain change) And there's a possibility of an actual position opening up soon, and I'm at the top of their hire list. It was fun. I got to develop a full, comprehensive web helpdesk system. Not just problem tickets and such, but also an inventory of all their computers, printers, applications, and phones. At a glance, you can look at a person, see what ink you need for their printer, shoot them an email, look up their phone number and see what version of Office they're running. The site also included making a Perl script that would scan for certain information and applications, spit out an XML document, and upload it to the website to be added to the database. I later ported said script from Perl on Mac OS to C++ on Windows (they're a fully dual-OS business - Macs for the artists and old people, PCs for marketing and accounting). I don't think I should link you to the site, as it's deliberately less-than-secure. Many of the people who work there are computer illiterate, so the site is designed for ease-of-use, not security. The login page has a drop-down menu instead of a username field, and passwords are no longer encrypted (they were originally SHA1-hashed, but I was told to make them unencrypted so my boss could just look at their passwords every time they forgot them). I did make sure to code it so that it would take one variable being changed from false to true in order to fix that. Overall, it was a cool place. Liked the people, liked the work. And they gave me way more free stuff than I ever imagined, so I'm 110% satisfied.
(they were originally SHA1-hashed, but I was told to make them unencrypted so my boss could just look at their passwords every time they forgot them)
... I've got a 3-month internship starting on Monday, visited the place a couple of weeks back, the people seemed to be smart enough not to do anything stupid like that. I hope I'm right.
I reiterate, I'm incredibly jelly.
*story*
I'm jelly.
What years to come? A new CoD game will be released in a year and everyone will ditch MW3.
Doubt it. People still play CoD 4 and CoD 3.
Firefox 9 beta available. Microsoft's going to go bankrupt at this rate due to the IE team sending the Firefox guys a cake after each release. They should probably migrate to sending cupcakes or something cheaper. [editline]12th November 2011[/editline] Wait, shit, they did actually switch to cupcakes.
