*Story*
I want a job like this
"Firefox is worse than IE9 and you only use it to piss off Bill Gates" - My friends dad on FF. "IE9 is better than Firefox at some things" - My dad What is it with dads that dont know how to compare crap? IE9 is shit and we all know it.
IE9 is shit and we all know it.
I beg to disagree
It's definitely improved but it doesn't take the place of my other browsers.
Is hyperthreading even useful for games with my i7 920?
Is hyperthreading even useful for games with my i7 920?
For most games no.
So if I disable it, I would get better performance? Or would that just make other things slower.
It won't do anything [editline]12th November 2011[/editline] You might as well leave it on
I've been lurking for a while... Not posting much here. Just curious, is there any Nikon DSLR's that can record 720p footage at 60fps?
So uh Any of you interested playing anything with me? Bored at the moment, I need a break from Skyrim.
Christmas time really sucks. I never know what to ask for... Narrowed it down to iPad or Mac Mini. Opinions?
Opinions?
iPad is an overpriced toy. The only thing it's really good at is reading ebooks on the go, and there are far cheaper devices for that. That applies to all tablets, really, but the iPad is even more overpriced. I have never used modern Mac Minis, but they seem pretty underpowered (even disregarding price). They sort of make sense for very low-noise stuff like media centers, but I doubt that's what you intend to do with it. There are literally a thousand things I would ask for before either of those. I have a list of games a mile long (Skyrim, BF3, Arkham City, all the way back to ME2), various pieces of hardware (new monitor, another new monitor, new hard drives for everything, better speakers, a new MIDI keyboard, and that's not even getting into the new laptop), and even just general stuff (I would really like a nice battle-ready zweihander - just saying).
FUCK. My cat pushed my laptop off my bed and now one of the hinges is fucked, as in disconnected from the fucking thing.

I'm really interested in having a tablet for eBooks and general browsing in bed/bathroom/when parents tell me to turn off my monitor during dinner. But then again I really want Lion, and my other Mac can only run 10.5.8.

I type up all my college papers on it, take notes, make schedules, watch liberal TV, surf the web, I use the dam thing almost as often as my desktop.

So I can use it in the library I guess and claim it's one of theirs or something, and then I've got 3 classes where the teacher probably wouldn't give a fuck either way.
Doubt it. People still play CoD 4 and CoD 3.
I am one of those people, I am the 13%.

Regardless prechus mac
Regardless prechus mac
It makes a very good bedside computer. Wish I could get the App store on it so I could get myself an alarm clock. the speakers on that thing go quite a bit louder than my iPhone. As is, I'm using it to check facebook/twitter/email first thing in the morning.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/3pjnw.jpg[/thumb] What exactly is this port for? It was on a friend's laptop. I feel like I should recognize it.
Mini-HDMI?
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/3pjnw.jpg[/thumb] What exactly is this port for? It was on a friend's laptop. I feel like I should recognize it.
Display port. A common high end video interface. I use is on my main 30" monitor. It's like HDMI, except it has clips that keep it in.
Mini-HDMI?
I will never, ever understand how people like you can get HDMI and DP confused.
