I liked it better before Beta. It's actually pretty bad now. /endofdiscussion
I'm sick of your shit. We've had a lot of arguments in CIPWTTKT -- hell, in the entirety of H&S GD! -- over these past few months. And you know what I've noticed? Every single one has you playing the lead role. Are you trolling? Or are you just incredibly fucking stupid? Because either way you don't belong here anymore, not until you get your fucking act together and grow up.

Added Deeps to my ignore list like a week ago, you have no idea how much better this thread is to read now.
It was a fucking joke. Holy shit.
Last page wasn't. What about those other countless amounts of pages?
Last page wasn't. What about those other countless amounts of pages?
Sorry I disagreed with someone.
Sorry I disagreed with everyone.
Ftfy. Also, I tried setting up a friends capture card to record from my PC, and after some hours of thinking I found a solution. Well, maybe it's not the best solution but fuck you it works, here's two crappy images showing how it works: (There's an error in the second image, the HDMI cable coming from the DVI to HDMI adapter should be switched with the other HDMI cable.) The capture card is treated as a second monitor, so you set your PC to duplicate the image. Here's a quick test of it: Most likely waaay too bassy.
Added Deeps to my ignore list like a week ago, you have no idea how much better this thread is to read now.
I've been ignoring him for the past few months. Sometimes I forget why I've ignored people, and start viewing their comments. That usually reminds me why I ignorelisted them in the first place. Actually, whenever I see a bunch of "This message is hidden" posts, I just skip over the entire thing. People arguing with a moron is usually just as annoying even when you can't hear the moron.
werds
DVI doesn't bypass HDCP
DVI doesn't bypass HDCP
That's why It's genious! Instead of directly pluggin the HDMI in, I use one of the DVI ports and then convert it back to HDMI.
That's why It's genious! Instead of directly pluggin the HDMI in, I use one of the DVI ports and then convert it back to HDMI.
ok? it still won't bypass HDCP, HDCP works on DVI too.
Hi def child porn :q:
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZKbvO.jpg[/thumb] This drive has 99 problems and a bitch ain't one.
Hmm... Illiteracy at my school today. A couple weeks back our fitness teacher bought 2 X-Box/kinect bundles with projectors. Today, that fitness teacher came to me with the 5 games she had bought for each system. EVERY SINGLE DISC had a ring scratched into it. She said that the students didn't realize tipping the system over would ruin it. So they put a disc in, while the console was vertical, and set it back horizontal position, basically tossing it down. When one disc didn't work after that, they tried all of them and said "THIS XBOX IS BROKE" Idiots just threw away 250 worth of games. [editline]15th November 2011[/editline] But in GOOD content, the d5100s are really inspiring some good photos from a few of the middle school students.. I'm asking them tomorrow if I can get copies. And no, it's not ~~art1stic~~ photography. It's like "Wow..that's a great photo" photography.
What does everyone think of pay-by-byte internet? I've been hearing that that's what internet providers have been going to, and I'm not liking that one bit.
My friends hard drive in her laptop just died. Such a horrible time for it to happen too... Offered to sell her my 250 GB laptop hard drive for 40. i'll probably put it in and install windows for free too

But for broadband, it's retarded money-grabbing. I'd probably just write a script to burst-download anything I want in under a minute, disconnect to read it and write replies, then reconnect to burst-upload.

If they do get them exchanged, copying the disk to the hard drive will allow games to continue working if they can still be partially read. What many providers (At least in Canada) are doing is usage based billing. Basically, they give you a small (2-125 GB) cap and then charge you $1 (Biggest package) to $2.50 (Smallest package) for every additional gigabyte you download on top of your $30-70/month plan. For example, the cheapest plan on Bell Canada is $33/month for 2 Megabit DSL with a 2 GB cap and $2.50 per gigabyte afterwards. The overages are capped at $80 Their high-end package is their "Fibe 25" (Not fiber to the house), which is $73/month for 25 Mbps down, 7 Mbps up with a 125 GB cap and a $1/GB overage, again capped at $80 in overages. Some ISPs offer unlimited plans, though the big ones (Bell and Rogers) do not. Mine (Eastlink) doesn't, though Bell and Rogers cover a much larger area.

Yes, that's what I meant when I said "pay per time", more like "pay per byte".
"Fibe 25" (Not fiber to the house), which is $73/month
It's such a fucking rip-off. Considering how old the lines are, no one is going to reach those speeds. Anyway, I could rant all day every day about ISPs in Canada so instead I'm going to post some
ACTUAL CONTENT
Yes, you heard that right, content in CIPWTTKT. We have those virtual drives in my college: one for personal files, one to distribute files and one to hand-in our homework. Pretty nifty isn't it? Well not really. You see, these drives can only be accessed within the college (LAN). "That's not a problem" you might say. Except it is : anyone can connect to the drives, there's no password involved only a username. Using this
net use /persistent:no /user:domain/student_number p: drive_address\student_number
and replacing the student_number part with anyone's student number I have absolute control over all their files, including the personal and handed-in files. I only tried it with students but I'm pretty sure it'd work with teachers too since there's no difference in the authentication. Now you might be saying to yourself "Well since it's on LAN and everyone is connected to their own accounts, it'd be easy to track who is fucking around with files!". WRONG. The library account can also be used for this, it's available everywhere and public.
ok? it still won't bypass HDCP, HDCP works on DVI too.
I see. Well, it works, so I'm not going to touch it.
snip
I really don't get why security is in the back of some school sysadmin's mind. I know the sysadmins my old school put security as one of the first things on the list. That is, unless the district is being dumb, in which at least one of the sysadmins calls them out and tells the majority of the staff.
Sometimes, I think if I don't get a job anywhere else I would be the IT for a school.
I didn't know you can debug a Java program at runtime. Watching this. Fuck, I get the feeling I should stop being a lazy maggot and do something beneficial, like learn Java.
Sometimes, I think if I don't get a job anywhere else I would be the IT for a school.
It really doesn't look like a good job honestly. You have to deal with a lot of people who don't know shit about computers and your job basically consists of : 1. Reinstall Windows 2. If step 1 didn't work, replace HDD 3. If step 2 didn't fix it, send back to manufacturer It just looks boring to me. Especially considering I'll have to do this job for 2 hours next Tuesday dealing with tards who can't follow simple instructions to connect to the college's wi-fi. The tards also call it "wee-fee" since they can't fucking understand it's an English "word".
god damn it Steam Overlay stop closing on me
