Things I did today:
Went to shops, got new Sim card because the old one was 4 years old, Edge only :suicide:
While we were there my mum bought an iPhone 4
While they were setting up the whole plan thing I looked at a PC shop next door
$3900 computer "i7 GAMING MACHINE" and it had that this horrible shiny case
Like this

Only with 4 big turbine things (which looked like they were blocked off by plastic) instead of the 2 holes

Also, it was bright red with black stripes

Oh and I forgot to mention, it only had like, a single 6950 or something
And some moron will actually pay for it.

Seems like the neutron flow through the flux capacitors is being hampered by something, Have you checked the magnetic field regulators ?

fuck me why do i never check which page i'm on
After talking with wingless, I think I might get a new motherboard + new case.
I want a motherboard with a top PCIe 1x, so I can plug in a new sound card. And maybe TRI SLI. For a case, I'm thinking of the Raven RV03. A friend of mine has one and says it was one of his favourite cases and that it's really quiet while still staying cool.
Thoughts of stuffz?
Is there any reason why laptops strong enough to not vomit at running source games on medium, at the very least, are so expensive? Namely Dells, since that's apparently what my mom has to buy for credit or some shit...
We'd build a desktop for more power and much less but there isn't anymore room for a second desk in either place. And the person it's being bought for needs to be able to easily transport it.
Edit: Sorry for breaking your merge, please don't murder me. :smith:
I don't know but my $800 laptop runs every game I've tried to play on it

Got any boards in mind?

The ones we're looking at are about $800... They're the Dell XPS models.
I told mom (who is anything but hardware savvy) "Any one that DOESN'T have their 'graphics card' listed as Intel HD so-and-so, is one you can look at. Otherwise you can forget it, because they're about as good as running Facebook games without shitting the bed."
The cheapest one was $799... She gagged :v:

The As rock z68 Extreme 7 looks nice. But no top PCIe 1x and has that stupid 4 pin in the middle of the board.

I'm checking out that article.

Basically, I think I would want to move to Tri SLI in the future when I move to possibly 3 monitors, or simply want to max things out even more. Metro 2033 at 2560x1600 is tough :v:
I'd like 2 slots between each one since I'm running air coolers. And I think with the RV03, cooling would be much better.

I love the Asrock z68 Extremes. I'm looking at getting the Extreme 3 when I eventually upgrade to IB/SB.
The Extreme 7 would work, assuming I'm not doing Tri SLI... Damn it's so hard to find the right combo.
I want the Extreme7 with a top PCie 1x, the molex on the side of the board and 2 spaces between the three PCIe 16x. IS THIS SO HARDAINFOIANFG
[editline]20th November 2011[/editline]
The ASrock z68 professional seems to be what I want, but why the fuck does it have PATA and FDD connections. God damn it. Also I hate that fatality bullshit. He's old news.

I think this is the only board that will work.
-SoundCard
-GTX580
-Cooler
-AirSpace

Someone on another forum said that the SLI part can't be done in the slots I want. So basically it's either I sell these cards and go reference for watercooling or I stick with dual cards until the next round of upgrades.
Also funny thing. By going with the UD4, I actually put myself in this position. If I went with the UD3P I could have avoided all of this. But UD3 sounded too low. UD4 simply has more USB and external SATA.

Get XBMC whacked on it. Or debian :v:
Get XBMC whacked on it. Or debian :v:
I use Xebian on my xbox.
They make a great webserver.
I've got a 160GB drive in my Xbox, I might have to play around with linux eventualy.
XBMC is all I have right now.
I have a Wii and I am scared to homebrew it because I might brick it..
After I homebrew it, would I might be able to use my external HDD to watch movies etc. with it? Or over LAN?
Get XBMC whacked on it. Or debian :v:
That's why I need the aforementioned game and memory card thing.
Anyone wanna donate one?

I did it without issue and I'm an idiot.
I just have my Xbox chipped and a disk which has a FTP server on it.
No game required :)

I'd prefer to go the softmod route but I can't find a damn Action Replay...
Just switched from foobar2k to winamp, can anyone show me a decent simple skin for winamp?
Just switched from foobar2k to winamp, can anyone show me a decent simple skin for winamp?
There is no such thing, all winamp skins are shit.
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim8300/sm/battery.htm
What the fuck? I don't want to blow up changing my battery! Will a Dell Dimension 8200 battery work with a Dell Dimension 8300?
Just switched from foobar2k to winamp, can anyone show me a decent simple skin for winamp?
I still use iTunes and Spotify because I'm bad
Spotify not so much now because it seems to post every song I listen to to the activity stream along the side of the front page

I had Hellenium, I liked it.
Now I just use Zune.
I just burnt the shit out of my finger trying to solder a blend pot into my bass
motherfucker hurts, already blistered up
I'll probably fill it with super glue, it's in a really bad spot for a musician. I'd rather have burnt my dick it's in such a bad spot. at least that would just hurt like fuck this is interfering with my daily routine

Now you're probably gonna drop something hot on your dick.
Now you're probably gonna drop something hot on your dick.
no I made sure to finish soldering the pot in before that happened
also wearing pants so that probably wouldn't be that big of an issue
also this makes it hard as fuck to type, I had to hit backspace like 40 times just for this post

According to some threads, he has done weird things to his dick...
About a month or two ago my friend had his PC turn off and white smoke came out from his PSU. PSU is broken, I told him. 5 minutes later he turns on the PC and says: Lol, see, it is okay.
Well, he now got a new PSU.
A no-name 450W (Before was a no-name 350W)
Can't wait to see that explode!
Speaking of which, a friend of mine recently upgraded his psu.
To a 600w codegen.
