don't you all just love it when the content walks through the front door?
anyway, you should have probably checked for compatibility before you bought it. take this as a lesson, and either build a new computer off of it, or buy a new mobo and move everything you can onto it.

okay then
I got this MB already 2 years. It says compatible for i3, i5, i7. And i'm not content i just say that i never mentioned it.
And the ivy will probably be 1155?

by compatible with i3, i5, i7, they meant pre-sandy bridge i3,5,7. i suppose that's a bit hard to pick up, and maybe i was a bit harsh. what are your other parts? just curious, since if you want to make use of the processor instead or returning it the people in this thread might be able to reccomend you a mobo.

since you've got this handled, i'll let you take it from here.
remember that the socket sandy bridge uses is 1155, don't want you to make the same mistake of getting an incompatible part again..

Yeah i will get a mobo with a 1155 now and wait for the ivy. Thanks.
buying amd cpus in 2011
lol
You're upgrading from th e i3 530 is what you mean? If so but not yet (waiting for ivy) don't buy the motherboard yet, no point, wait until you have money and buy it all at once.
buying amd cpus in 2011

Try a 2500k against my 16ghz beast, dare you.

buying anything other than SB-E close to the end of 2011.
lol.
OK, after watching a few Amnesia gameplay vids I've realized that I'm too much of a pussy to play that game without requiring several changes of pants and possibly therapy.
So, FEAR 2, Mass Effect, or Oddworld?
• I've never played Oddworld, so I can't say anything about that.
• I'm personally replaying Mass Effect for the n-th time now, except this time I'm stuck in ME1. For the first time. :v:
• FEAR2 is a little different from FEAR1, but not bad. Also battle mechs. (Don't get me started on FEAR3 though, that is a horrible piece of shit.)
I'd say F.E.A.R. 2, then start from ME1. I can also highly recommend most of the DLC of ME2, especially Lair of the Shadow Broker, and the one with Kasumi to a lesser extent.

can't tell if troll or retarded
[editline]24th November 2011[/editline]
it's wingless so I guess I'll lean towards retarded
He's saying, Ivy bridge is so close getting a sandy is a bit silly right now unless you have a great reason to do so.
Why you gotta be mad all the time Odellus?

marginal performance improvements for much more money doesn't concern me or many others in the least

He said SB-E though. Ivy and SB-E is not the same thing as you know.

You start an argument over almost anything don't you?
Save it for deeps, please.
He said SB-E though. Ivy and SB-E is not the same thing as you know.
Normally I'd argue, but we get enough in this thread as it is, so I'll just leave it as "fuck it, whatever".

2500k? Only four cores? You know this is 2011, not 2008, you might aswell of saved some money and got a Q6600 lol!
[editline]24th November 2011[/editline]
everyone is mad they bought a 2500k.
This thread has become so dumb lately, that Fast Threads is intellectual discussion compared to this shit.
Most people just want to argue, I just take the piss 90% of the time.

who are you
Trying to debate things in this thread is like a nazi walking into a bar mitzvah saying "HEIL HITLER"
in other words, all hell breaks loose

You are just trying to conceil the fact that a 2500k still outperforms any AMD CPU.

Ignore list just became a lot more useful. :v:
I was joking, why would I compare a Q6600 to a 2500k? Please refer to the posts I made an hour ago.
I would of got a 2500k but I couldn't afford it, but there's nothing wrong with a 1090T though, still plenty powerful and then some.
