Ugh. So I worked out why my laptop was being retarded and why the wifi card refused to start One little option left off in the default kernel settings. So now I have to build the kernel myself just for one little switch. Goddamnit.
Now that I think about what I did today, I didn't do much. There was so much fucking bloat in the shit I started with. But it's still faster than learning from ground-up. The program was meant for small warehouses that sell clothes, and it had support for all kinds of sales shit I didn't need etc. The database is still a cluttered clusterfuck though.
If its just a simple add/read/mod/delete database entry job, it would take about 300 ish lines of PHP + HTML to have it sorted. And a bit of photoshop to make a pretty UI for it. I did a similar thing for my IT exam, an ecommerce system for a computer shop with a backend mySQL database. [editline]24th November 2011[/editline] If I still had it I would zip it up and send it to you, so you could laugh at my crapcode. They have istalled all their stuff to the C drive and are now down to 5mb of avalible space, whole the D drive is almost blank *sigh* reinstall and fox partitions it seems [editline]24th November 2011[/editline] fuck me the connection died and IE is retared enoough to not resume it. Back up to 45 min remaining again fuck [editline]24th November 2011[/editline] Also fuck [editline]24th November 2011[/editline] Double fuck, It happeed again. brb Installing chrome
*sigh* reinstall and fox partitions it seems
Or nuke D and grow C from Windows?
Or nuke D and grow C from Windows?
They just wanted a clean install really, I said i could just merge the drives back together anyway to prevent new problems Also i'v never done that so i don't know how to. My way works fine for this, but thanks for the tip Also, interesting info, When down below 5MB left on a HDD, you cant even install firefox since it's cant unpack itself for the installation :v:
right click on my computer, manage, disk managment, delete D and expand C.
Does anybody know what these ports are? They're on the wall in some of the oldest rooms in my school, definitely been out of use for a decade or two
MIDI in/out or a MIDI splitter.
right click on my computer, manage, disk managment, delete D and expand C.
Now i feel very silly for not thinking of that fatal-Error, You are a lifesaver. Or well, Timesaver

Started to partion my HDD to finally install Win 7. On Linux bootcd atm. Partioning my HDD to a 666GB and a 32GB partion. Win 7 will be installed onto 32GB, then I will start slowly deleting programs from the Vista install, growing the 7 partion all the time. And now I just need to wait a while until it finally decides it will partion the HDD etc. What should I do? Wait, what? If I am in Linux, my CPU Frequency is @2.5GHz (What it is supposed to be) . Same in Safe Mode for windows. But when I am in Windows Vista, not in safe mode, it is stuck at 1.2GHz. Speedstep is weeeeird shit man.
I'm thinking of SLIing my GTS250 so i can run BF3 better What sort of performance would i expect? My screen is at 1680 x 1050
But when I am in Windows Vista, not in safe mode, it is stuck at 1.2GHz. Speedstep is weeeeird shit man.
Power saving mode
Pepper;33419934']I'm thinking of SLIing my GTS250 so i can run BF3 better What sort of performance would i expect?
2x better probably. Or close to it. [editline]24th November 2011[/editline]
Power saving mode
High performance. Has been on that for months.
2x better probably. Or close to it.
I mean compared to newer cards
Anyone remember the image resizing power tool for XP? There's been a windows vista/7 version for a while, saved me tonnes of time resizing multiple pictures: http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/
Watched a DEFCON talk about hacking Internet Kiosks. The guy has a website for the entire thing that tries to just pop open a shell that you can use. I wanted to try it on my own computer. Go to http://ikat.ha.cked.net on my computer with IE I have Avast installed Oh god, the pop-ups, so many Avast pop-ups
The iBook seems to work fine now now, though I'm not sure which OS to use. Mac OS X Tiger works at a usable pace, everything hardware-wise works and there's a decent selection of software (Office, iLife, ect). However, some applications like Firefox aren't being updated for this OS (Firefox stops at version 3). I also seem to be having a weird problem with VLC, where videos just crash the program (Music is fine). I tried out Debian and it seemed to work well, though I'm not 100% sure that the video drivers were working (Only around 30-ish FPS with glxgears). I was also unable to open my Ubuntu Server's SMB share or browse the network for Windows machines, something I always seem to encounter when I try using a desktop distribution of Linux. There's also the problem that the iBook only has one mouse button, OS X is designed around this and offers CTRL-Click as a replacement, though I'm not sure Debian offers that. For now, it's running Tiger, though I'll have to see if I can resolve the problems with Linux before trying it again.
I'm home alone for the week of thanksgiving. What should I make for the thanksgiving meal today? Supermarkets are closed or I'd go get some ready made chicken/turkey
I thought you lived by yourself, you live with parents?
‎10 lbs of mashed potatoes. 11 lbs of turkey. Other shit OH GOD WHY. :byodood:
I thought you lived by yourself, you live with parents?
I live at home. I'd move out but rent would cut so much into my income. Benefit would be me being any to work on youtube much better.

Considering you spent $10,000 on all of that hardware, and plan to spend more, I think you should stop kidding yourself.
You mean like all that hardware did?
All the hardware I have wasn't merely to have it. It's invested as far as I'm concerned. [editline]24th November 2011[/editline]
Considering you spent $10,000 on all of that hardware, and plan to spend more, I think you should stop kidding yourself.
I didn't spend $10k on "hardware" When I said 10k in the other thread that was for almost everything since I got my job. School, Food, gifts, computer, car, camera, renovating my room, gas, books, etc.
