Fucking OEMS and their underpowered PSUs I decided 68 MB/s wasn't enough so I added another drive to the array. I plug it in, it starts and shuts down after 2 seconds. Turns out 200 W isn't enough to power 3 Deathstars, a 2.6 GHz P4 and a SATA CD drive :v:
A little follow-up As it turns out, I was wrong. 200 W can power 3 Deskstars pulling 40W each on start-up. The power switch was broken, I have to start up the damn thing with a screw now. And I broke my RAID array, one of the drives is constantly "occupied" apparently and the Fedora installer crashes if I create the RAID device before clicking it. Damnit.
Whoever wants Audiosurf or L4D2, add me on Steam.
I've already gotten both of those for free a year or so back :v:
Hey, I would love an audiosurf.
Wait 12 hrs, he's probably unconscious now
Well, I'm annoyed. My package from newegg had a delivery date of the 26th when I ordered it, it is now saying the 29th. IT IS SITTING 20 MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE. Or it went back to Ohio somehow, I don't know. All that matters in that I leave to go back up to school on Sunday the 27th, so now I will need my parents to mail it to me back at school and wait a few more days before my i5 system is up now. Do any of you know if it is possible to go and pickup a delivery from them, because apparently the 3 day guaranteed shipping from newegg doesn't do Saturday deliveries -_-.
Somebody's wallet has been raped
I also got LA Noire. Total of like 45 bucks, nothing big. Edit: Todays deals suck though.
I also got LA Noire. Total of like 45 bucks, nothing big. Edit: Todays deals suck though.
They don't suck, you probably just have all the games that are good deals. Same for me.
They don't suck, you probably just have all the games that are good deals. Same for me.
It's been either I own all of the games that are worth buying, or they all are games I'd never play.
They suck in that none of them interest me in the least.
I think I'm going to order this. http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=59771&vpn=IPS231P-BN&manufacture=LG%20Electronics&promoid=1115 Y/N?
They suck in that none of them interest me in the least.
Some of them are interesting to me. Dead Island looks good, but it's new enough that I can be assured of getting it even cheaper in a few months. So that's unnecessary, especially on my budget. If I had regular income, I'd grab it. Space Marine sounded awesome (I've never gotten into 40K, but always wanted to get into 40K), but I just checked the reviews and found them bad. Which means the price will plummet quickly once the initial sales die down. KOTOR is probably getting bought by everyone who still doesn't have it. I bought it last year, and actually hated it, but it's still so widely liked that it's a "must-have" game. Serious Sam is interesting. Not good, mind you - I bought it last year, didn't like it - but interesting. Especially at that price point. Human Revolution is the only one I'm seriously contemplating - the main sticking point is "can my rig run it?". I'll probably err on the side of not getting it - when I get a rig that can play it, I'll have a steady income and easily be able to afford the game as well.

Before I built my rig, I could run like 3 out of my fifty games at that point. Now I can run them all.
I'm really fucking surprised I can run BF3. Then again, it is set to all low.
gift me amnesia fucking now
You should record yourself play or do it in CIPWTTKT voice. [editline]26th November 2011[/editline] Flak the Mighty is a good person. that is all.

Well that's a disappointment. I did the heat gun method of fixing the GPU in my free iBook and while it did seem to work, I melted and warped two sections of the plastic casing, making it impossible to close (I broke one of the removable washer things on the bottom when I tried re-assembling it. In hindsight, I should have removed the motherboard, even though the guide I followed didn't do that. Though it's too late for that now. I looked on eBay for replacement parts, which cost about $20... Though it's not worth it. It was barely capable of browsing the modern web and could barely playback DVD rips on the hard drive. Linux didn't seem to run well on it (No GPU-accelerated window manager = slow as balls). I might be able to find a better iBook on ebay, though I think that money would be better spent being put toward a new netbook / laptop.
ok you fix it
you're a terrible programmer
