IMO it's twice as impressive to see old stuff emulated on new hardware: it's like two levels of cool.
IMO it's twice as impressive to see old stuff emulated on new hardware: it's like two levels of cool.
While its cool to be able to do this, it's not quite the same as having the real thing infront of you. Even if it does have emulated floppy drive sound effects (WinUAE) :v:

I have $10 of credit on Newegg. I don't know what to buy.
I finally solved the massive packet loss I get when connected to wi-fi networks with my shitty desktop's network card. I'm tethering my Transformer to my PC via usb, no packet loss at all. I'm actually quite surprised a mobile device via usb is working better than a PCI card, just gotta watch the battery while using it :v:

I reseated my NH-D14. No change in load temps. Idle temps might be 1c lower.
I reseated my NH-D14. No change in load temps. Idle temps might be 1c lower.
Did you change thermal paste? Did you properly clean both surfaces? Did you accidentally spill bacon grease on the CPU prior to mounting the cooler? Did you use superglue as TIM?
Change how? like a different one? I used mx-4 in a rice grain. I cleaned both surfaces with the arctic cooling cleaning kit. Waited like 15 minutes to make sure any vapors were clear after cleaning them with a cloth. Applied ricegrain, tightened both ends staggered like instructed, until tight, then re-attached the fans.
Consider the possibility that the temperature sensor is busted, has been known to happen if I'm not mistaken. For the sake of asking, are you sure it's clamping down properly? like if you made some mistake when mounting or something, I don't know.
You can only mount two ways. vetical and horizontal. I can only mount it horizontal due to my video cards. Perhaps it's merely because it's so hot down here.
