I would, though the filter blocks it, even on non-standard ports. I end up tethering to my phone for a few basic things (Reddit mostly).
It's a shame to hear about AMD. I hope they keep improving their lower-end stuff, the APU stuff and the more inexpensive chips are pretty nice. Then again, it's possible that Intel could release a line of inexpensive CPUs that completely obliterate AMD's offerings.
Have you tried using port 80/443 yet?
If HTTPS works, port 443 works. Fact.
If HTTPS works, port 443 works. Fact.
Because 443 is HTTPS :science:

Oh really?!

Yes, but also because you can't write a filter that recognizes HTTPS traffic.

DOS, meet Linux.
Well thats that network card sorted, what a mess on that was.
Just got this!

Unless you're insane and white listing traffic.

is the extra time and money spent on a homebuilt computer really that worth it if you can get an i7 for $500
just asking but I don't really know what the latest and greatest around

technically i have until around summer to upgrade though because that's when this current thing becomes unusable from overheating because of degraded heatsink paste

I've always wanted an xbox 360 controller! I'm jelly.

HTTPS traffic is encrypted. If you could write a filter that recognized HTTPS traffic from, say, SSH traffic, you'd have to break the encryption.

Most of the time you'll be paying less (talking about up-to-date comps) and said "extra time" is hours at the very longest.

It is worth it, not to mention a lot of the OEM's support are shithouse (Not all)
The main problem if something dies in an prebuild you have to either get a smelly probably douchebag technician in your house and fuck around for about an hour who is only trained to reinstall windows or you have to send the whole PC away for a week.
If you build it yourself you can probably just send the dead part off, wait a week, and if it's non-critical (GPU, Second Hard drive, Optical Drive) you can probably live without it for a week.
If you buy second hand you probably will have no support at all.
Everyone should just set up a SSH tunnel directly when logging into a school pc
SSH is blocked at my school.
As is every port other than 80 or whatever the HTTPS default port is.

How can it be .1? :v:

For the record, I do know that it stands for subwoofer count. But headphones can't have headphones!
Edit: Subwoofers, I mean. God I'm tired.

1) Get a cheap VPS (Seriously, you can get them for $1 a month somewhere)
2) Setup sshd on port 443
3) Tunnel a port like 9853 to localhost dynamically
4) localhost:9853 is now a SOCKS 4 proxy

Or
Really comfortable headset for people that don't use speakers that much and still want good audio
Nobody get's my pun? :saddowns:
I bought my 1TB Seagate drives at the beginning of the year for $50, and that was back when our currency sucked.
If I found some 1TB Drives or 2TB drives for $50 and $100 respectively, I would probably buy 20/10, No joking. Sell half of them for Triple price and build a raid 5 with the rest.
Nobody get's my pun? :saddowns:
What pun ?
*looks back*
Oh
SRS. Did not notice that one

I'm not dissing the headset, it looks like a good headset, but more often than not the 7.1 "technology" doesn't make gaming any more fun and usually distorts the quality of music.

Oh, My bad then
But they do enhance gaming in some ways. Was playing and a spooky voice talked through a wall when i had surround on. Instantly turned around with heart beating. Sounded exactly like someone stood behind me :v:

I did
Anyone know a good site for buying monitors in the UK?
Free shipping, preferably.
I need two 19"-21" monitors, in total adding to around £320
I'd really honestly prefer something other than ebuyer or overclockers
I don't mind ebuyer but their monitor prices are funky, and i've had bad history with overclockers
also ordered 8GB of DDR3 ram, probably not going to make use of it, but it's £26 so why the heck not
