Molex? They're the standard connector for powering a lot of things like hard drives, optical drives etc
Bitchin' avatar.

Yes but it's from my power supply and it's black. Those look like the connectors for my fans.

If it's the same thing, colour wouldn't matter. Just the manufacturers choice of colour.
Telnet to miku.acm.uiuc.edu, someone got bored apparently.

Well, I was thinking they were the connectors to power my fans but they don't fit well, and plus my fans have one of those and one that looks like that but has pins instead.

Fans don't draw that much power, the second plug is meant to "re-use" the cable. Even if they don't fit that well (they should though), plug them in. Fans don't work wirelessly :v:

If it looks like this:

it's for floppy drives.
If it looks like this:

it's a SATA power cable, for hard drives.
neither of those, it's circular but i plugged those in already

How about that? Is that more like it?

Is that just a molex passthrough?

It looks so angry
Is that just a molex passthrough?
It's a replacement connector. You cut the regular connector off and wire that one in instead. Mostly for cases that need 90 degree connectors instead of straight, or people who really want black connectors.
My antivirus also deleted something that was like, "VirusRemoval" it was a VBScript thing. I wanted to see what it was. :suicide:
In other news, I was told to use the color scheme of the company's logo, blue, black and white.
Here's what it looks like before I was told about the color scheme:

Not sure how to include more blue, black or white.

Blue background, black text, white header?
[editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
Use the main color as the background color
Blue doesn't really work as a full-on background color.
It's better to use something light like white or really weak shades of grey and then highlight or frame things with blue.
I mean, look at the page you're reading this on at the moment, especially down the bottom.
[editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
I never noticed how much blue there is on the task bar in XP.
It's just straight-on white on blue.

Silver task bar for life.
So my Logitech G500 started giving me trouble a couple of weeks ago, it kept randomly disconnecting for a second or two a few times a day maybe. It consistently got worse and as I read up on it someone suggested it was a problem with the cable/soldering on the PCB. So I wiggle the cable while moving the mouse and sure enough, it dies. Problem is, this time it died completely and seemingly for good.
I email the site I bought it from and the very next day I get an email saying a new one is on it's way and I can keep the old one (gotta love efficient service).
So now I open my old one up (using my very older G7 all this time by the way, working after 5 years) and notice that the wire isn't soldered to the pcb, it's wired to a 5 pin connector (4 wires of usb plus extra shielding of the wire). I do however notice, or rather re-evaluate the seriousness of a kink in the wire just where it exits the mouse shell which has been there since I opened the package. I theorize a damaged lead in this kink and with nothing to lose I carefully cut open the outer isolation of the wire with a brand new and razor sharp blade for my universal hobby knife and after digging through the outer braiding, isolation and two layers of shielding (foil and strands) I notice some quite severe damage of the isolation on several of the leads inside. I'm currently working on fixing it by cutting away the damaged section and soldering it back together.
What's really interesting is that this kink was I suspect a result of the packaging, meaning this ought to be a very common problem for G500's and all logitech mice using similar packaging.
Wow, did that guy use 2 hours on putting together a computer? DId he watch any guides? Because it really shouldn't take that long, unless you're doing some ecessive cable management.

Quite a few new motherboards (X79 and newer I believe) are starting to use SATA power instead of molex for their additional power needs.

I'll give it a try, it's only a couple of CSS definitions so why not.
But now, it's time to chill and read Reddit, just got back from eating.

A woman called today, asked if her "Macbook has even been sent, it was supposed to arrive early this week".
Guy responded to her "Hold on, I'll look it up. Yeah, it's arrived at your local post office on the 24th, and they've sent you a text message."
"Yeah, I got the text message."
"So yeah, it's available there to pick up."
"Oh."
Some other customer who got his Mac fixed didn't know where their local post office is...
Soo, My grandpa got a new TV Box (Old one broke for some reason, it had a guarantee, got a new one free)
I set it up and what did I see? It runs on Linux, Kernel 2.6.24
Linux really runs on everything..
Also the company who made it was Artec. I first read it as Antec and got confused.

Update: G500 fixed, though the final result is so god damn ugly if I saw someone else do that I would have them shot.
Still, it's working and I think I'll be picking up the new one I got on warranty later this evening.
And on today's "Don't fucking do this or you're a moron", my method of changing colours:

$rowbg = "#0084FF";
$bg = "#0015FF";
$link = "black"
