How can you NOT like this. Brushed metallic look, not all plasticy like the alienware.
I'd like some more venting and front side USB and audio jacks, other than that, that looks great.

Looks sexy but looks like it has a lack of features, I mean are there any front USB Ports on that?

They're behind that panel next to the power button

Ok, I like that.
I had to get my laptop's battery warranty-replaced.
I took it to them on Wednesday.
I got it back today.
Pretty fast.
Why the hell would anyone think this is good looking?

My friends...

One of them thought that ALIENWARE CASES ARE THE BEST :downs:
Yeah, that's what I hate about Counter-Strike (and one of the reasons I hate TF2, for that matter) - you tend to spend WAY too long doing absolutely nothing, waiting to respawn.
If I ever make a multiplayer game where spawns need to be spaced out so much like that, I'm going to make sure you're at least able to do something. I'd probably just have you spawn way back from the front lines, so you spend a while walking up there. Or maybe let you take on some support role - aiming off-map artillery while waiting to respawn, for instance.
I've had a similar idea for L4D(2). While dead/respawning, control a random normal zombie. I don't have any experience with modding to do it though, and I'm far too lazy to do start learning. :v:

To be honest if I shelled out the dollars for this and a great setup I'd would go the full mile and get some liquid cooling. The ventilator would be set up on the top under those vents with a push/pull fan setup.

Yeah, I've got a friend who likes to look of them too, thankfully I have him drooling over the HAF X right now :v:

Meh, I'm happy with mine for the time being, thumbscrews are brilliant.

What CPU governor does the republican Linux user use on his laptop?
Why, conservative of course.
The joke is that republicans don't use Linux
That's interesting, they didn't even snoop around my laptop when I took it in for warranty.
[editline]15th July 2011[/editline]
I just had the best idea ever, someone give me around 700€
So, Is this a good deal? http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=622989, its 736 USD/531 EUR-
What would you do then?
Also, Cheapest laptops are usually like 300€ or so, aren't they?

The 2 things are seperate.
OpenPandora, 4 mobile phones that are capable of running osmocomBB, a 3TB external HDD that connects with USB2.0 and a new casing to hold all the extra crap.
Oh and a pair of nice headphones.
Should run at about 700€ all together.
You could listen in on people's GSM calls.
The external HDD is required for the massive rainbow tables.
Anyone?
Why not buy the parts separately?
So my sister recommended me to a job at a Goodwill. One position I was recommended for was "electronics pricing".
Possible content when/if I get the job.
I've worked Goodwill. It sucked, but you won't see much content for this thread.
Since Goodwill doesn't actually stock specific merchandise, they don't have anything to "push", no GeekSquad faggotry to pull on customers.
You'll probably just be putting price labels on the actual merchandise, which does involve figuring out what it's worth, at least for electronics. I was asked to do that a couple times, because my store didn't have enough electronics to need someone just for that job, and I was the most tech-savvy person around. It mostly consisted of the boss asking "how much would something like this be worth new?", I'd go "Simple wireless router? About $50", and then she'd slap a $20 price tag on it.
Anyone?
I don't know the kronor, but that CPU is way over-powered, the motherboard has shitty thermal shielding that does the opposite of what you think, and 8 GB of RAM is quite a bit too much.
It's not a good deal and it has overpriced parts anyways.
I've never seen a Goodwill around here.
FYI, 1 dutch tv tower was on fire and then collapsed (www.bit.ly/owpL84), north NL without most radio, and now a second tower has caught on fire! Is this some kind of terrorist attack? :v:z

By "around", do you mean in a 50 mile square radius? Because that's most likely true

And then tomorrow he finds out his neighbour is Richard Stallman.
(Would have said Torvalds but the dude lives in rather far-away-from-everyone-else type of place, at least what I've seen in a couple of documentaries.)

Last summer, I needed a few things (New laptop battery, headphones and a 15" LCD to replace my second monitor which was a CRT at the time) and I had my old PC laying around. It had a 3.4 GHz P4, 1.5 GB RAM, 80 GB hard drive with Windows XP and put in an old, chunky case. I had it up for $200 (I needed about $160 or so to cover what I needed) and was getting low offers on Kijiji, so I saw Newegg.ca had that case on sale for around $30.
After putting those old parts in a new case, I got at least 3X the offers that I did in the old, shitty case.
About to game during a lightning storm... might regret this.
About to game during a lightning storm... might regret this.
Don't do it, you'll be able to play in ~20 minutes. Surely you can survive that.
Who the fuck cares about playing on a lightning storm or not?
The last power outage because of lightning was here like, over 5 years or so.
Don't do it, you'll be able to play in ~20 minutes. Surely you can survive that.
I play during lightning storms all the time, as long as you live in a house that isn't a shit hole and is built properly you shouldn't have any problems.
This isnt really the place to ask but i never get an answer in PC building section, Can anyone recommend a CPU, mobo, RAM for 622 EUR? I already got the rest, (Assuming mobo and shit fits the case)
