Stop, seriously.
AM3+ CPUs are backwards compatible. I don't know how far back, but AM3 should work. Depends on your BIOS version as well. Now, onto the more complex question - why would you buy an AM3+ CPU?
Stuck with an AMD motherboard. :(
How do I get dxtory to record at a good FPS? I only record at 15 FPS, and it's even less in the final recording.
Stuck with an AMD motherboard. :(
The AM3+ CPUs doesn't really hold an advantage to the AM3s, as of yet. Might change, but I would wait this iteration of bulldozer out.
weee went from a Phenom 9550 and 6GB of DDR2-800 to the 2500k and 4GB DDR3-1333
I know that feel bro. C2D E4400 and 4GB DDR2-667 to i5-2500k and 4GB DDR3-1333. Even the GPU performance improved from the 4x to the 16x PCIe 2.0 slot :v:
I got my case and the 212 evo tomorrow I will get my i5 2500k! Purolator sucks dick, they didn't even knock on the door and I was home the hole time. Hopefully the rest is gonna come Monday.
I dropped an earbud on my phone's screen. A terminal opened and typed the word "huh"

Is AMD trying as hard as possible to fail?
I'm not sure if this is funny or sad. Or both.
http://wiki.debian.org/DebTorrent Hmmm, that seems pretty cool I guess.
My earbuds plug is falling out. I have just(1-3 months) bought those headphones Anything I can do about it?
Fuuu. Went out and bought an FX-4100 Bulldozer (Only AMD Quad core they had that I could afford). I come home and slot it in because my motherboard supposedly supported AM3+ (It is AM3) according to Gigabyte. Doesn't work. Trawl through google, only to find out there are 2 versions of my motherboard, each identical, except one supports AM3+, and the other doesn't. Guess which one I have. Mad as fuck. Entirely my fault though, I should have done more research before dropping $130 on a paperweight :v:
bios update
Did that, didn't fix shit. Gigabyte has dropped support for my dickass version. I tried installing the BIOS update from the other motherboard (what could possibly go wrong), and it didn't want to work. So I'm assuming that's a closed path to me as well.

This motherboard was an open-box on newegg even, so i'll have to keep an eye on it and not push it (a-la OCing) for a little bit to make sure it's not faulty. But it did come with all documentation, I/O plate, SATA cables and the driver disc (the heatsink on the board even had the blue protective plastic on it), so i'm under the assumption someone bought this but decided they wanted something else. Was only ~75 as opposed to $100
