Yes. They're normally about $50.

It looks like it just came out the factory.
Maybe that picture is just really old :v:

Oh, and http://www.macrumors.com/2011/12/04/mac-os-x-10-7-3-beta-drivers-reveal-evidence-of-new-mac-pros/
New Mac Pros? Don't they do that every year? Not to fuck out on Apple, but this is hardly surprising.

Not bad, I went for the Workbench 1.0 style.

Nope, they haven't been revised since 2009 actually.
I never understood that they use Xeons in Mac Pros. I mean, aren't Xeons really bad value?

They have to atleast try to justify the price tag.
Also, haven't played TF2 in a while, so I expected to be more shit than I'm usually am. I've heard people saying things about the F2P stuff and so on, and honestly I assumed it was somewhat blown out of proportion, but when I got on a server I felt like a motherfucking god. I brought that wagon to it's target, thrice along with just a medic, against like 6 people. How the fuck.

The Mac Pros aren't that overpriced, if you look at the individual parts.

Apple discontinued the Xserve line and decided to have the Mac Pro and Mac Mini Server take over for them.
That's why I guess.
But they have always used Xeons in Intel Mac Pros afaik

They are a bad value for a desktop. Very few users can justify having one.
However, those that can, absolutely do need one. And while they may not be the best value, you need to look at it from the business perspective - you're buying a $30,000 computer, but you're giving it to someone you pay $120,000 a year. It's a sensible investment - you don't want your expensive employee to spend too much time waiting for stuff to render or whatnot.
Also, the Mac Pro doubles as Apple's high-end server offering (they also have a Mac Mini "server" - the rackmount Xserves were discontinued). There, it's justified, simply because all other comparable servers are similarly expensive.
So, yeah, they have a bad performance per dollar, but they have really nice performance.

They were supposed to be the workhorse of the Mac series.
Imagine it like this: When Steve Jobs came back to Apple in 1997 he was outraged at the fact that they had so many products. It detracted from the level of craftsmanship that each device deserved. There was their little hand held personal assistant attempt called the Newton. Steve hated it. Gil Amelio, then the CEO of Apple, was pushing at every meeting how they needed more things to sell. In 1997, when NeXT was acquired by Apple and Steve was brought back on as an advisor, he more or less just took over. Amelio was incompetent and awkward. Steve said they needed to drop all of the things they were working on, lay off C rate players, and focus on four things.
He stood up, grabbed a marker and wrote on a whiteboard in the room this image, without device names.

It was an astounding concept for those at Apple. And they made it work. The Mac Pro was supposed to be used for high system requirement tasks. It isn't meant to be a consumer device, and the Pros of yesteryear have found that they can get the exact same performance for less out of the top of the line iMacs. Thus sales plunged and Apple has almost left the line behind. I'm excited to see what they do with it.
EDIT: Wow, I sound like a fucking stalker or some shit.
fuck yeah! Got my psu, ram, graphic card and 2 fans! I only need my mobo but it's in freaking california :v:
