Everyone should get Swiftkey x.
Why? I swype.
Why? I swype.
So did I.
So did I.
What's so great about Swiftkey then.
XDA modified HTC keyboard master race. http://www.xda-developers.com/android/htc_ime-keyboard-v19/
What's so great about Swiftkey then.
There's a free trial on the market, just try it. It's absurdly accurate with prediction and corrections. Usually I need to fight the computer to get it to say what I want but this thing just fucking knows.

For me, faster.
Ended up caving in and reimaging Windows on my laptop. Turns out http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/optimizing-stalker-call-of-pripyat-with-intel-graphics-performance-analyzers/ means it will run on the shitty integrated graphics card at what some people claim Medium at 1336x768 with decent fps.
I knew Apple's prices were ridiculous, but £200 for 100mhz?
I bought Swiftkey when I had my old Samsung Galaxy Spica (I use a Nexus S now), though haven't reinstalled it since the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard, available on the market, works just fine. Worth a shot, I guess.

I wouldn't mind getting a Macbook but the 13" (the only almost affordable one) doesn't have a matte screen, and not having a matte screen on a laptop is for me completely stupid.

It just makes them useless for being outside. Laptops are supposed to be portable, while usable.
Exactly, same goes for phones aswell, not seen a matte screen phone yet but surely it can't be that hard, yes you'd lose some vibrancy but you'd get so much utility.
But it's ~pretty~, and that completely nullifies function since there's more "Oooh shiny" idiots that are going to buy it than people that think about usability under sunlight.
There may be a valid reason for not having matte screens on mobile devices. Perhaps they are more susceptible to scratches, or don't handle fingerprints well. Maybe a glossy screen aids with touch recognition? Just playing devil's (read: engineers') advocate here. It could just be for the purpose of marketing.
glossy screens are worse about fingerprints but are much more resistant to scratches. I'd rather have a scratch here or there than a fingerprint
I've been playing on 1080p in BF3 for the past couple weeks since i was getting odd scaling in SLI due to a driver update. I was getting good frames recently so I switched to full 2560x1600 with FXAA and 4xMSAA OH my god it's like moving from SD to HD again or getting my new glasses. It was an amazing difference. I didn't think I'd notice much.
glossy screens are worse about fingerprints but are much more resistant to scratches. I'd rather have a scratch here or there than a fingerprint
I've never had any laptop screen have a scratch on, or a desktop. What the fuck are you doing to your laptops?
What's the best value Ebook I can get in Canada? I have wanted to get a Kindle, but I have to ship it from USA and it doesn't support fb2
I've never had any laptop screen have a scratch on, or a desktop. What the fuck are you doing to your laptops?
I haven't either, I'm just saying in general matte glass scratches easier
I haven't either, I'm just saying in general matte glass scratches easier
OK, good.
glossy screens are worse about fingerprints but are much more resistant to scratches. That said, I have a screen protector that seems to have turned my phone's screen partially matte - I can use it near anywhere and I know the screen's glossy. [editline]6th December 2011[/editline] and yet it doesn't feel as glossy as it used to
You can buy Visa gift cards. They work fine online if you visit the site on the back of the card to input your information. Android users will be happy to note the sale that's going on for the next ten days. 10 popular apps every day will be ten cents. Today they have: Minecraft, Soundhound, Asphalt 6 (524 MB download, be advised), Swiftkey X, Endomondo Sports Tracker, Great Little War Game, SketchBook Mobile, Fieldrunners HD, Color & Draw for kids, Paper Camera. For under a buck, I picked up 7 apps that cost anywhere from 99 cents to over $5. Now this is a sale I can get behind!
Buying them all. Best $1 spent ever. [editline]7th December 2011[/editline] Why in the hell does the Android Marketplace have no cart system? This annoys me because after buying two apps, the purchases afterwards were declined, because of anti scam measures. :argh:
the only thing that interested me was Android Minecraft. I have too much fun with Swype for the keyboard and I don't even know what the hell the others are [editline]6th December 2011[/editline] OH WAIT NO NEVERMIND I KNOW WHAT SOUNDHOUND IS
Everyone should get Swiftkey x.
Already did. Love it.
Overheard some first graders during lunch break:
Guy 1: Hey do you have a 16gb flash drive? Guy 2: Nah i don't, i do have a 16gb SD Card. Guy 1: Oh, can you use that in your macbook? Guy 2: No man, only macbook pro's can do that Me: Le show them my SD -> usb adapter
Only the macbook pros have SD card readers? If si, that's probably what they meant.
Kindly beat them senseless with a Thinkpad.
Even my netbook has an SD card reader. Doesn't work though :v:
