Modellers for that just got some cred. However the voice actors are still terrible.

Anyone know why I'm unable to edit posts on Crunchbang with Chromium?
In other news, #! time. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] Fuck me I can't edit for some reason. So, someone on chat was saying the fact Ubuntu was using 600 MB with a bunch of programs open was unexceptable... #! is using 500 with just Terminator and Chromium open :colbert:
you must be doing something wrong, a #! install for me running chromium, 3 rxvt instances, x11 nethack, and playing a video in mplayer used at most 200mb

What would be some normal idle temps for the i5-2500k stock cooling?

Finally taking some time to learn C++.
Use the goddamn Quick Question Thread people [editline]16th July 2011[/editline]
It's sad, because it looked like it was going to be so cool.
I just rewatched the latest trailer availble, and it made the game appears 100 times better than what is actually coming out of the box. The sad thing is, that trailer showed the ENTIRE game. Not even exaggerating, it literally showed scenes from every single chapter of the game, minus the intro and ending.
Apparently Steam gave their content servers an upgrade. Also, "The new system supports delivering only the differences between the old and new files, meaning game updates will be much smaller overall."
In addition, the new content system will allow us to build several new features that we’ve often heard requested. Upcoming client releases will include things like download scheduling, bandwidth throttling, and prioritizing which games get downloaded first. You’ll also be able to download an update to a game while you’re playing that game; Steam will apply the update after you exit the game.
What would be some normal idle temps for the i5-2500k stock cooling?
I heard 32C with overclock..
Might have something to do with this: http://store.steampowered.com/news/5856/
Why doesn't steam use torrents? :|
I heard 32C with overclock.. Why doesn't steam use torrents? :|
Most likely a security issue, unless they had a metric fuckton of security in place
So yeah, steam is now on par with non-propriety programs that are fifteen years old(rsync).
I heard 32C with overclock.. Why doesn't steam use torrents? :|
I doubt you'll get it to idle at 32C with a stock cooler. Mine idles at around 38, stock clocks, stock cooler in a ppretty small case. Under Prime95 it reaches ~76C.
Mine reaches 94C while running anything intensive :saddowns:
I get 40c with water cooling while idle. :saddowns:
You can overclock to about 4.5 on stock with an i5, but it'll max out at ~85C. IDK idle.
Sudden Lockups, Ahoi! Browsing web on my PC, locked up, mouse didn't move but had power. Well, alt+tab then ? Nope, locked up. Temperatures were okay. OC should be stable. MBAM quick scan didn't show anything. When I come back from a trip, I am going to back to last stable OC, Safe Mode full scan. I am not amused if it is my HDD failing. It is not making any sounds but yeah. A few days ago, my PC also just restarted, no blue screen, no anything. Temperatures okay.
I get 40c with water cooling while idle. :saddowns:
Idle temps don't mean anything, and your idle/load is usually based on the ambient temperature. What is your room temp?
Father dusted his laptop. Temps are down from 100C to 60C. Fan is fucking quiet. HP Compaq Presario CQ60 btw. Also, IE9 seems to be pretty good.
Idle temps don't mean anything, and your idle/load is usually based on the ambient temperature. What is your room temp?
who's the girl what's funny about this i want to know
Steam skin name?
Seems to be this one. http://fediafedia.deviantart.com/art/Steam-Metro-skin-BETA-2-199316621
...Why RAID 0 :ohdear:
I just realized how many updates you get under a month. My laptop has been dead since some asshole stole my charger and i only now bought another one. Start up laptop and instantly get bombarded with various updates. I checked and the CPU was at about 95 % for almost 5 minuter while installing
Open IRC > Modem disconnects Call Time Warner to ask what the problem is, person's never heard of IRC and thinks it's like BitTorrent. I reached through the phone and strangled them.
...Why RAID 0 :ohdear:
why not
why not
Because if a single drive fails, you're fucked?
Because if a single drive fails, you're fucked?
which pretty much doesn't ever happen unless you have garbage drives that fall out of the array constantly (spinpoint) and it doesn't matter anyway because you can (should) have a backup on your storage drive/array
I have now destroyed Windows 7, and replaced it with Crunchbag (Aka Debian) on my netbook. I feel accomplished, everything works  [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] And only 2.5GB harddrive space is used, an that's with various programs installed. Damn.
which pretty much doesn't ever happen unless you have garbage drives that fall out of the array constantly (spinpoint) and it doesn't matter anyway because you can (should) have a backup on your storage drive/array
But now you need two drives or a drive twice the size to keep a backup Why not just go for RAID 10 :v:
