Yes, resolution. Why would you want such a small resolution on such a large screen. I don't mean for him, yeah he has a reason. But what was the manufacturer thinking?
I love being a bad person.
It's actually to prevent the "fragmentation" (also known as diversity) in screen resolution in the land of Android. Every review I've seen of it says it's a great phone, I don't see what you're coming at. He even stated that he just became bored with iOS and didn't really get excited about Android, so he thought "why not try something different". I thought that was the general mindset of an Apple person.
[sp]The last thing is a joke, for those who cannot grasp the concept.[/sp]
There's three problems I have with smartphones.
1) They're fucking huge
2) They cost lods of emone
3) I don't have a data plan (...which might be a direct or indirect result from not having a smartphone)
In addition to that, too many phones don't have a physical keyboard. Autocorrect would be a pain in the ass when using IRC or something (I'd prob'ly use a smartphone if I ever got one for Minecraft server administration), especially since Finnish autocorrect libraries tend to, uh, be rather incomplete and I'd need to be able to switch languages on-the-fly, depending on what I'm doing.
Swiftkey X is great on my phone, then again I'm using the English libraries. However, it does learn as you use it. You can also get it to analyse your Facebook posts, GMail emails, SMS messages and Twitter posts, which helps out the accuracy. I can type without giving a fuck and it still manages to be accurate, which is impressive after leaving my BlackBerry Bold a few months ago. However, it's a bit annoying to use SSH with swiftkey since you don't use many words in its dictionary. However, there are better keyboards for SSH purposes, many of which are free.
The lack of a physical keyboard really worried me for the first month or so, though I really appreciate not having one now.

WHY? Android or iOS are so much better in EVERYTHING HE SAID. I realize this is an opinion thing, but the screen size is so small, there's like shit for apps, the camera sucks, and his battery life sucks.
For once I am actually seeing a video talking about Android WP7, and iOS with legitimate points rather than fanboy bias opinions that carries out throughout the whole video

That's actually a very fair review, but I don't understand what he means when he worried he wouldn't be able to get his media onto a "Windows" device. What does that mean? Are file transfers somehow harder on Windows PCs or is he referring to the older Windows mobile platforms?
I'm genuinely asking this question.

He's a Mac user. Pretty sure that's all.

Smart phones are pretty much always fat32
Understandable if it was ntfs.
I don't see all the hate about Windows phones, maybe I'm just ignorant to it but I love my Windows phone 7, it's got everything I need to do on it and it last me for a day plus I like how much I can mess around with it.
You get a pack of lube so you can re-use it a couple times.
Yes I've bought one, feels good man.
I just personally don't see it as being as functional for me as the other choices out there. Hell, I'd take Android over it any day. It doesn't mean it inherently is bad, it's just not up to snuff for me and is still lacking in some departments (specs, resolution, camera, etc.)
I have welts all over.

The only reason, and I mean the ONLY reason, for me to get a WP7 phone, would be C# support.

Right, there are some good things about it, that being one. Android has things that are good about it, and so does iOS. Just like OS X/Windows/Linux. It depends on the users needs. But it just seems like for Jon's needs that he explained in the video Android may have been a better option.

I would love to get MonoTouch (Mono for iOS devices) or MonoDroid (Name says it all) but it's like $300 for the cheapest licence. Maybe if I have something that would sell I'd buy it, but fuck that.

Holy shit those are expensive as hell. Why are they that pricey?

Not sure, but it sells, go to the site (site) and see the big partners who use it.
Microsoft, Cisco, HP, AT&T. It's probably aimed more towards big companies.
I was in my AP Algebra class and my friend said "My new years resolution is 1900x1080". I couldn't stop laughing the whole period.

It's a pretty cool app. Not gonna lie. Way too expensive for the average user. Kind of like everything made by Adobe ironically. They're all awesome programs, just wicked fucking expensive.

That joke was so 2010
After much consideration, I'm neither sending my phone away or taking the warehouse to court over my faulty android phone. Instead I'm getting this after christmas
(There was an image but it kinda got 404'd)
Sony Ericsson J108 for $92.
Not bad for a 3G phone.
Didn't even know they still made phones that look like that. Throwback.
Did I tell you guys the story where my stepfather thought opening task manager put a scratch on the hard disk?
Hey I got plenty of dead Nokia brick phones I can throw at you.
You must have an arm like Drew Brees then.
Come at me, bro. No moving from your desk.

I don't think I have physically screamed before because of a photo of a floppy.
So i bought 8GB's of ram and wanted to try and hit that limit.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/9sWKO.jpg[/t]
Didn't manage too.
I also lost that game of UT3.
You can hit the limit on the 8GB you just need to have the BF3 load to with memory leaks. That happened to me, kinda sad.

Use FF instead of Chrome. It should help hitting that limit.

Wow, coincidence much.
I was browsing Wallbase (unsuccessfully; besides my current wallpaper, I found nothing of interest in over 12000 of the most popular wallpapers of 1920x1080 and larger).
It started freezing every once in a while, which is when I noticed it Firefox was using 3 GB. I think wallbase/Firefox has a teeny tiny memory leak. :v:
Alright, I gotta choose the phone I want this Christmas, so-
http://www.mycricket.com/
Will someone find me one with Android? I'm not sure what I should be looking for in a phone this time around.
