My friend uses the logic:
MW2 -> Nightvision
Blops -> RCXD
MW3 -> UAV (????)
My friend uses the logic:

Yeah, but those cost like twice as much as the actual game.
My friend uses the logic:

That would be too epic actually.
Oh and the Battlefield 3 Pre-order with extra's is cheaper than MW3 with nothing.
Why would you want a 15cm long plastic UAV?
Why would you want a 15cm long plastic UAV?
Yeah, why would you want a 15cm long plastic UAV that can fly?

Even though they are still better than Activision for giving a preorder bonus at all, most of the stuff they offer as a bonus should be available for the people who didn't preorder as well. In my opinion, preorder stuff should always be stuff that is either outside the game (like a hat, poster, book, sculpture, etc.), a purely cosmetic feature or something else that has no real effect on gameplay that gives you an unfair advantage over other players.

The stuff is later unlock-able in the game, except the Back to Karkand stuff, for obvious reasons.
And there lies the problem. I'm getting ME3 and BF3 when they come out and as it looks now, both on Origin. The only small issue is that almost all of my other games are on steam and so is my groups, Friends and other features. Unless Origin boasts the most perfect UI ever designed, A solid program underneath that and a way to basically copy paste everything from steam except Steam itself, Then odds are that i will spend much more time with that and only be arsed to used Origin to launch the programs
Now that i think of it, I wonder if it's possible to create an normal shortcut from Origin and then add it as a non steam game. Hmm
um you guys do know origin games can be played without origin after installing, right? They just have to be launched once and bam, you don't even have to launch origin to play them.

But it's nice to have all your games on one platform. It's like buying mw2 for your xbox and then mw3 for you playstation. It doesn't make any sense!

At 3:32, that some very nice FPS you got thar..

Still, the people who preordered the game get those items earlier in the game than everyone else, therefore they would have at least a small advantage over players who didn't preorder.

They would be balanced though, Dice aren't that stupid.

no it isn't and you're dumb for thinking that. Buy it on origin, download your game, completely uninstall origin. It's basically like buying retail, except you get the added advantage of no discs and high speeds. Stop bitching because you won't be able to coordinate multiplayer with friends or get your steam achievements, it'll still work and origin won't even be in the way.

what's the point of bitching about a program you'll only have to install once??

And then install origin again every time there's an update? Sure, that's simple and useful :rolleyes:
And then install origin again every time there's an update? Sure, that's simple and useful :rolleyes:
okay fine, leave origin installed. The games launch origin automatically when there's an update (BFBC2 on origin does this for me), you can close it immediately after. It's not as easy as just letting steam do it's thing, but there's no need to constantly whine about it.

You realize BF3's gonna update like BC2 did, right?

I believe I read somewhere that due to the negative response, EA will allow players who did not pre-order to unlock achievements for the pre-order stuff by the end of this year. It's still bullshit, though.
have you even used it, by the way? It's not awful, it's just different. Sure the UI isn't fun to navigate, but who the fuck cares when you'll never see it except for buying a game?
Besides Origin is just EADM with a new name and skin, It's not gonna integrate into the game, it's just gonna download, install and done. Stop bitching or buy retail. Christ.
I should probably refresh before posting

Obviously they have such an ~epic gayming rig~ that the game can't handle it.

Reminds me of the EA E3 conference. They were playing a running section of the next Need For Speed and a big spotlight panned over the player. FPS dropped down to around 20 for a seconds or two.

My friend's buying some Beats in-ear headphones... £70. I've listened to something through some once. They sound worse than the Samsung earphones that came with my phone, though to be fair my phone did include pretty badass headphones.

But they are expensive and therefore better
Actually just the other day i was in a car ride with another guy that was wearing skullcandy and the only thing i could thinking of was "God dammit those things creak a lot"
Basically 90 % plastic and creaked like an old wooden door from Scooby Doo.
I tried them on and they were not that comfortable ether. It was like they could not decide if they wanted full covering of the ears or just have them on the outside of the ears (Koss porta pro style)
Nope, I think i'll stick to my headphones instead. Less expensive and less Scooby Doo soundeffects

I think you and a few other people here aren't getting why they are showing that.
They are showing how games run sluggishly because they are high demanding, it is a way of relating to people with lower end systems.
If they said, "Games require high demanding systems, here is a video while I tell you this... it is running flawlessly, so clearly you don't need to buy our product because everything can run it fine."
So again, it isn't a video of them running the latest and greatest on their hardware, it is them to show how demanding video games are.
finally finished military school?
Cue Changes by David Bowie.
Shooter punches the air dramatically, the frame freezes. Credits roll.
I'm sorry, I honestly don't know why I posted this. :v:
