I was browsing Wikipedia, reading about displays. Somehow I end up on the page showing the different brands buzzwords for glossy displays http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossy_Display_Branding Why don't they just call it glossy display instead of ULTRA SUPER BRIGHTSHINE X
Because the general public is retarded and needs marketing terms to explain it.
Wow for once Apple is not false/exaggerate advertising
To be honest, every company exaggerates their products, that's how marketing works. The difference is that Apple does it in the way so illiterates think everything that is being said is true. Nothing in the world "just works", and I'm sure that Dr. Deeps has had problems with his Ma- Oh wait, he has none.
i wish laptop battery life was determined by the FCC so there are no lies. my 10 hour macbook pro only lasts 7, and every other laptop in the existence of everything is like this too
Be grateful that it lasts for 7. When maximum battery life is determined, they tries to minimize battery usage as much as possible such as by dimming the screen, turn off all unneeded radios, killed all unneeded processes and kept workload to a minimum. If you do all that on a new mcp, you can most likely squeeze out 10 hours of battery life as well
Windows is "special" at times. My BF3 was lagging like a bitch, with random stuttering. My hard drive was measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale, so I check the performance monitor. Windows appeared to be running the superfetch indexer. It's only supposed to do this when the machine is idle but apparently windows can't tell the difference between "idle" and "BF3 constantly streaming textures from the hard drive". What the fuck do I do. It does this randomly and it's a pain. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] I'm assuming that "localsystemnetworkrestricted" is the superfetching anyway. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] To clarify I don't want to stop superfetch it's useful. But I want it to stop raping my platters when I'm pwning noobs.
are you sure its not the page file? pretty sure its the page file add me btw (bf3), Shadaez
I'm sure it's not the page file. I can see the page file and it's behaving normally. I'll deal with it, it stops after the machine has been running for a bit.
You could also, you know, replace the fan. Yeah it might take some time and a few bucks, but dieing fans shriek is just so annoying and if you use it in class you will get quite a few annoyed looks.
Egh, got fed up of the noise interfering and tried disassembling the computer Lost two screws but the 10W-30 seems to have fixed it (although I don't know how long it'll stay) [editline]f[/editline] Bent the connecting heatsink thingy a lil but it doesn't seem to be affecting temperatures too much (Load temps are the same as before, even with new paste)

I'm looking to buy a 1080p screen but I don't have a lot of money, and I heard somewhere that it is good.

I got the official Android ice cream sandwich update for my nexus s, holy crap it's like a new phone. The browser doesn't feel laggy, it feels more like the iOS browser where it renders the page in sections. The rest of the os is pretty smooth, too.

Guys I have a problem, my laptop all of a sudden had this decoloration on the bottom of my screen, it changes from green to purple at start up. I took a print screen, but that was perfect, so I think it has something to do with the actual screen or connection. This started right in the middle of me watching something on Netflix. I tried reinstalling drivers, but that broke text and pictures on install screens (this laptop switches between intel hd graphics and nvida 520m notebook), there's no text at all, but Ill try to fix that after this. Can anyone help? It's a Samsung QX411, windows 7 64bit.
Pepper;33780110']HDDs that take 2 5 1/4" bays again
Worth it. Considering how many fucking 5.25 bays on modern cases still have. Jesus I barely use one drive, I don't need half my front consumed by them.
Are there any cases without a 5.25 bay? I think it'd look good and I never use mine anyway. If I needed something that desperately, I'd just put it in one of my servers, dd it and scp the iso.
Why exactly do people like Beats? I was at the mall today and saw at least thirty people walking around with them on their necks.
because it shows off how dumb they are by spending $500 on shitty overpriced headphones
Why exactly do people like Beats?
