hot
Guys, it's going to run hot it has one fan and a form factor like a laptop. The fan probably keeps it around 90c or so, so it might get pretty loud under load.
I also determined I can't use Chrome on here until I get RAM. It's using about 4 times that of Safari... :v:
Safari needs tabs on top already, come on Apple. It's not like them to be last to the party.
[QUOTE=FlakTheMighty;33898025]Sorry about that bragging post, I tend to do stuff without thinking then regretting it later. Which is why I plan(wouldn't happen anyway I'm a socially awkward nerd) to never get in another relationship.[/QUOTE] Are you ACTUALLY socially awkward by nature or are you just lazy really people just use that excuse like people throw rubbish in bins now
[QUOTE=jaybuz;33898161]Safari needs tabs on top already, come on Apple. It's not like them to be last to the party.[/QUOTE] Internet explorer has tabs on top?
[QUOTE=Dr. Deeps;33898136]I also determined I can't use Chrome on here until I get RAM. It's using about 4 times that of Safari... :v:[/QUOTE] Where you gonna get the RAM from? [editline]26th December 2011[/editline] [QUOTE=MC3craze;33898271]Internet explorer has tabs on top?[/QUOTE] Nope but they're not at the bottom either.
[QUOTE=jaybuz;33898283]Where you gonna get the RAM from? [editline]26th December 2011[/editline] Nope but they're not at the bottom either.[/QUOTE] I'm going to guess they're next to the omnibox?

And apparently copying music over from an iPhone makes temps go crazy. I rebooted once it was done: [img]http://puu.sh/bxNA[/img]
Oh. It was under load. Heh, heheeeeee.
[QUOTE=~Kiwi~v2;33898536]I feel sorry for you that your Mini runs hotter than my P4 ride next door to me. Only gets to 75c whilst playing minecraft.[/QUOTE] I bet your P4 is also a lot less energy efficient and more noisy. And slower.
[QUOTE=~Kiwi~v2;33898536]I feel sorry for you that your Mini runs hotter than my P4 ride next door to me. Only gets to 75c whilst playing minecraft.[/QUOTE] The Mac mini is about an inch and a half high, give it some credit.
[QUOTE=Dr. Deeps;33898007][img]http://puu.sh/bxGQ[/img][/QUOTE] how do you take a screenshot while in the widget menu?
[QUOTE=Anti Christ;33894045]So I know I don't post here a lot, but I have something I'd like to share with you guys. After all, it is Christmas [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/emoot/buddy.gif[/img] I've been working on this userscript for facepunch for a while. It's sort of been my project in learning javascript, and how userscripts work in general. I just finished it today, and I think it's ready for you guys to test it out, and I want you guys to tell me what you think of it, criticize it, and just tell me anything you dislike/find wrong with it. It's my first script that I believe to be fully functional, and as such, it probably has a lot of ugly/bad code in it. So if there's anyone here with experience in making userscripts, I'd love it if you could especially criticize it for me. As far as I know, it is compatible with Chrome/Firefox. I haven't tested it in any other browsers, though. But I'm sure you want to know what this script does. It's basically a glorified block list, but with added ease! I made a [URL="http://i.imgur.com/IfUQF.gif"]gif if it in action[/URL], but it's pretty large (file size and resolution wise) so I'm not going to img tag it. Plus it has a few other tiny features. [img]http://i.imgur.com/BsHL5.png[/img] So if any of you guys would like to try it out for me, find bugs, criticize it, and help me improve it, I'd really appreciate it. I've been working on this for what feels like forever, and I want to see this become something that doesn't suck by people's standards, other than my own. You can download it [URL="http://lodsofemone.net/fp_fixer/fp_fixer.user.js"]here[/URL]. [SUB][SUB][SUB]You can probably tell it's been heavily influenced by various things, namely the original furry flagger script. Yeah that's where I got the inspiration to start on this from, don't hate me for it. The only thing that resembles it is how bad posts are hidden. But don't worry, I've given all the proper credit I could in the script.[/SUB][/SUB][/SUB][/QUOTE] Facepunch already has jQuery included. Unless you're using some new feature in 1.6, there's no need to inject it via the script. [B]edit:[/B] Here, I did a few optimisations of my own. You need to cache more often. Btw, I haven't checked this and I changed a lot so errors are probably going to popup but I can fix 'em you tell me! [code]- snipo -[/code] Nice script. You did well!
I <3 Javascript.
[QUOTE=meppers;33898605]how do you take a screenshot while in the widget menu?[/QUOTE] Puush. Activate it from the menu and then navigate to Dashboard and select an area.
Spotify is using 200mb of RAM. What the [B]fuck[/B]
Normal usage is?
I just had a nice chat with Jaybuz, and he pretty much rewrote the entire script, and made it a ton faster. Thanks dude! [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/emoot/buddy.gif[/img]
[QUOTE=~Kiwi~v2;33900290]Anti Christ you're Javascript for FP is bugged, each time I go on a page on FP it asks me to update then I get an error saying attempted downgrade failure. [URL]http://imgur.com/FR6Ac[/URL][/QUOTE] What in the hell? I've never even seen that error before. From what I can see, it seems to be something in chrome. Have you tried just uninstalling it, and reinstalling it?
[QUOTE=~Kiwi~v2;33900290]Anti Christ you're Javascript for FP is bugged[/QUOTE] Anti Christ is Javascript??
