FTFY (I think you own a 3GS, not sure)
The 3GS' resolution is 320x480, not 240x320.
1x 1600x1200 fuck if I know the diagonal inches sometimes counts as two monitors
Everybody should have 1080p monitors by 2012. Mine was like 125€ on sale, only 1 dead pixel. :D
1 dead pixel is enough to burn my soul in rage. How can you live looking at the damn fucker every day of your life?
Also just got a Kindle 3G, time to learn how to teather it.
I wouldn't. The second they suspect you using their 3G connection for anything other than on-device usage, they'll cut you off. They're giving you free worldwide wireless internet worldwide, I wouldn't bite the hand that feeds you. On the other hand, it would be awesome to buy a Whispernet internet dongle that worked anywhere in the world and was cheap. They may have to limit the speeds to 2G or something, though it would be great to have.

My router has been shitting itself, I'm afraid that we may have to replace it.
Watching lavacano rage because I've never played Quake or UT. Apparently this makes me a deprived gamer.
Quake is really meh. But I've been spoiled.
Quake is really meh. But I've been spoiled.
i oughta run you through a woodchipper for saying that

Speaking of Quake... Since it looks like I'll be stuck on this for a while, I'm getting some games installed. About a quarter my library is Mac-compatible; a few, like Portal 2, require a version of OS X I don't have. And, disregarding Valve, the only big-name, non-indie games I have are Duke Nukem Forever and Civilization V. So I'll probably be playing mainly Counter-Strike and indie games. I wanted to also rip through some id classics again, but there's a problem. The Steam versions of Doom, Quake, etc is the original binaries, DOSBoxed. Which, naturally, is non-Mac-compatible. But when id open-sourced them years ago, they were pretty quickly ported to everything - I clearly recall playing prboom on OpenBSD. Normally, I install a source fork anyways, since the original binaries are a bit bugged. I just copy the data files over and it works. But now, Steam won't let me download them, since it's well aware that it won't run on this machine. Which leaves me unable to play quite a few games I could, actually, play, with a bit of work. PS: Is it just me, or is Steam slow as fuck right now? I'm getting ~100kbps, should be getting about 20mbps. PPS: 1600x900
Steam is still fast for me. Playing BF3 at the moment.

Install Steam through Wine, download whichever id game, and throw a source port in. Worst case scenario you have to dig around for your qkey if you install Q3A
Watching lavacano rage because I've never played Quake or UT. Apparently this makes me a deprived gamer.
It does make you a deprived gamer, UT games are amazing and Quake 3 is still the best twitch shooter around
I just watched gameplay of both, UT99 looks fun, but quake 3 looks way too fast-paced for me... Not sure I could even get a kill.
I love browsing monoprice. Looking at all these insanely low prices. I have a huge cart of cables to expand my inventory and i'm looking to rewire my desk for better cable management.
I remember playing some quake with friends long ago I remember me sucking
I love browsing monoprice. Looking at all these insanely low prices. I have a huge cart of cables to expand my inventory and i'm looking to rewire my desk for better cable management.
Finish your damn Deus Ex playthrough instead of dicking around with your cables.
I recorded some last night. Belieb it or not.
Finish your damn Deus Ex playthrough instead of dicking around with your cables.
Good news.
I just watched gameplay of both, UT99 looks fun, but quake 3 looks way too fast-paced for me... Not sure I could even get a kill.
UT99 and UT2004 are awesome. I still play them every so often. UT3 is consolized shit. It's slower, less interesting and too brown. They tried to put too much Gears into it. Only real reason it's interesting is because it has mod support on the PS3. Something's still fucked with Steam - I'm still getting less than a tenth of what my pipe should get, and for a few minutes I was getting less than a kilobyte/second. Doesn't seem to affect other stuff, just Steam.
Good news.
I need to look at the steam overlay more.
I just watched gameplay of both, UT99 looks fun, but quake 3 looks way too fast-paced for me... Not sure I could even get a kill.
For me it goes like that UT2004>Ut99>UT3 But UT3 is by no means a bad game, it's just dead and they have absolutely messed up the wonderful design and soundtrack of previous UT games Quake 3 is really fun, but you WILL get killed A LOT. It also has some amazing mods (Urban Terror, True Combat,Super Heroes Arena, Quake 3 Racing, Excessive +)
Good news.
I just got on now to check how long I played.
