I might love AMD like I like my atom but I'm not buying a fucking e-series. Wait wingless has a dell netbook?
I know someone with a X120e, its pretty nice. 1366x768 on a fucking netbook.
Which Netbook? My Asus EEE PC with Intel Atom shows ~5-10 FPS
My Asus Eee 1201T runs it at around 30 FPS. The AMD E350 stuff should run it smoothly, considering it's a step up from what I have.
Pepper;33913642']How's the hinge on your dell? hehehe
Even worse :v: [editline]27th December 2011[/editline]
Hmmm... going to try a different content server. Normally I'm set as "Washington DC" (I'm close enough that when WW3 happens, the fallout from DC could kill me), since there's a bunch of them. I just set it to Charlotte, which is equally close to me in the other direction. One of the DC servers is maxed out, maybe I was on that one. Seems to be a bit faster, but it's too soon to tell.
Not my image, but this is how I explain it to people during Steam sales. My sister has a Gateway Netbook, Atom N570. I love my NB505 though. Toshiba has never let me down.
wat :o serious?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246103
Why would you buy stuff from Newegg on boxing day, I picked up a Eee PC from Bestbuy for 99 bucks today.
Why would you buy stuff from Newegg on boxing day, I picked up a Eee PC from Bestbuy for 99 bucks today.
Not buying it for at least a couple months, not giving up on my NB505.
First netbook I have seen with a APU though
i live in charlotte and i'm on charlotte and it's slow as fuck 100kb/s
Weird, I'm getting >2MB/s right now. Also, just thought of something: I put my laptop's drive in an external enclosure so I could continue my work. Maybe I should copy the SteamApps folder over (or at least the games I'm going to play)? It would save time not having to redownload the entire thing, just the stuff that's different on Mac. Also also: Man, something seems weird with this thing. I don't know if it's the monitor, or the monitor cable (using VGA, don't have DVI cable yet, plan to get one ASAP), or even just OS X rendering fonts differently, but stuff looks different. Keeps throwing me off.
Want.
Especially with the APU.
I bet its battery life is bad though, last time I had a thinkpad the box said 6 hours and it only lasted 3 hours on power saver.

Meh, I guess it had a faulty battery. Good thing I sold it a year ago.
Just timed my boot time 28 seconds with my new ssd
Just timed my boot time 28 seconds with my new ssd
Thats a long time.. I think my Eee PC boots faster then that.
Just timed my boot time 28 seconds with my new ssd
That's terrible. My new SSD gets me 11 seconds
The lack of UK Christmas sales makes me sad.
Just timed my boot time 28 seconds with my new ssd
My netbook with a 5400rpm hard drive boots in 20 seconds. You got a slow SSD.
Just timed my boot time 28 seconds with my new ssd
What the hell. My 7200RPM drive does better than that.
My netbook with a 5400rpm hard drive boots in 20 seconds. You got a slow SSD.
I bet he was too poor to afford a SSD so he got a SDHC card and installed it internally.
Are you recording startup time from post-BIOS or pre? I think most record post-BIOS.
First netbook I have seen with a APU though
HP has had their DM1 out for months. It's a pretty impressive little computer.
Just re-tested my SSD, 9.6 seconds sup post-bios to usable desktop
I record post-BIOS/EFI because I dual boot Linux.
HP has had their DM1 out for months. It's a pretty impressive little computer.
Yes but it's a HP, Fusion or not it'll sound like a jet and blow up within 5 minutes of opening. HP quality.
OK, got Counter-Strike situated. Now to tear into those Humble Indie Bundle games I've been buying but never playing. Any recommendations? Edit: My games list. Look for the Mac-compatible ones, since I'm stuck on that for the time being (and can't be assed to install Windows). And keep in mind that I've beaten every Valve game at least twice, no need to say them again.
Hammerfight's a lot of fun if your mouse arm can take it.
Nevermind. The Xigmatek Elysium is loved by TinyTomLogal from TTL. So that's an autobuy from me. Everything he recommends, I have loved in person. 219 on newegg. I wish it had room for 4x180's but it still is good with a 200mm. Edit: http://www.xigmatek.com/product.php?productid=122&type=photo
Hammerfight's a lot of fun if your mouse arm can take it.
"Hammerfight is not available on your current platform." Well fuck.
