Well, my new monitor has developed two stuck pixels overnight. Hopefully I won't have to return it.
Yeah, I'm going to have to return it. I give up on trying to fix it. [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] I hope I won't end up on a wild goose chase like Brt.
Can I overclock my i5-2500k on the Stock Cooler?
No you cannot. [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] Overclocking with the stock cooler is asking for trouble.
No you cannot. [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] Overclocking with the stock cooler is asking for trouble.
I did once with my i7-950 it went good until 4 GHz :v: Oh and I found out that my current cpu is actually slower than 2500k :C
Can anyone use some of that internet magic to check how many people play Homefront on steam still? I'd like to pick it up for $7.50 What about Section 8:Prejudice?
No you cannot. [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] Overclocking with the stock cooler is asking for trouble.
I'm on 4.0 GHz on stock just fine.
I never got good temps with stock.
I would like to try overclocking my asus g74sx but to be quite honest with myself I would just be doing because I can. I haven't actually found a reason to.
I'm on 4.0 GHz on stock just fine.
What are your temps?
No you cannot. [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] Overclocking with the stock cooler is asking for trouble.
I don't think so. My i3 is almost never going over 50 under load with stock. I could probably push it a bit without major heating issues
Yeah, the i5 2500k overclocks very well. I'm on 4.2 with stock
What are you temps?
Idling at 46, doesn't go up too much during games
Idling at 46, doesn't go up too much during games
Way too hot for my tastes.
I never got good temps with stock.
You've never overclocked a sandy bridge. 70ºC at 4.3ghz with stock cooling under load all day. If you think that's too much, I've ran a E4400 on stock clock 2.0ghz for almost 2 years at average 65ºC due to the crappy stock fan.

Hot components scare me. If they're cool, it gives me some peace of mind.
I'm using a 212+ with one fan. Should I consider getting a better cooler or something? Prime 95 has been running for about 30 minutes.
Just ordered a galaxy note, sort of hope my credit gets denied just because the thing is so expensive.
Starship, are you a wizard? AI suite is the worst piece of shit I've ever used, and whenever I tried to change the voltage in it, it did jack shit ad then crashed. And when I tried changing the frequency, it would go to show "80.0" instead of "3.4" like it should be doing. I tried re installing multiple times but to no avail. Maybe it's because my motherboard is a P8P67-M but I don't think so. I'll just keep my 2500k at 4.3GHz for now.

Also, where the fuck has smoothscroll for chrome gone?
Also, where the fuck has smoothscroll for chrome gone?
http://www.chromeextensions.org/appearance-functioning/smoothscroll/
http://www.chromeextensions.org/appearance-functioning/smoothscroll/
That's an old as fuck version and it doesn't even work
That's an old as fuck version and it doesn't even work
It is included with chrome now under chrome://flags/
Also, where the fuck has smoothscroll for chrome gone?
type about:flags in the url bar and enable the built in smooth scrolling
broke my merge
you can't do 4.8 ghz on a 212+ you need a NH-D14 for things like that
I use to do 4.8 just fine before. Might have to replace the thermal past and add a second fan to see if it changes.
It is included with chrome now under chrome://flags/
I did not know of this. Lots of nifty little things in there. And the Facepunch snow doesn't slow Chrome to a crawl anymore with the GPU acceleration enabled. :buddy:
That's an old as fuck version and it doesn't even work
Harsh.
