I kinda skimmed that last post over, sorry if I missed the reason; but: Why did you set up a mail server?
His epeen has now grown in size
I kinda skimmed that last post over, sorry if I missed the reason; but: Why did you set up a mail server?
Why the fuck not
Why the fuck not
Good point. :v:
I'm guessing it is every bit as awkward as people say it is. I think I will hold off on setting one up for a while longer.
It took me 2 weeks to setup a mail server the first time. Now I can do it in however long it takes to install ScientificLinux + 30 minutes.
Mailservers are a bitch to set up, I've found.
Install SL, install iRedmail, forward ports, setup name records, done. Anything after that is optional.
I love my server.

So, some days ago I was helping my friend fit in the Hyper TX3 CPU cooler I bought him as a christmas present to replace his horrible AMD stock fan. The pre-applied thermal paste on the stock fan is like superglue, it pulled the CPU out of its LOCKED socket somehow, and we had to pry it off with a screwdriver. Here's an image of the CPU still being stuck: Luckily, nothing was damaged.
That happens a lot with stock coolers
That happens a lot with stock coolers
Never happened with my i5.
That happens a lot with stock coolers
What the fuck kinda cooler are you using. I have NEVER seen that happen before.
I guess I should do that with my VPS, huh.
Disable/don't install clamav as part of iRedmail if on VPS. Likes to munch on the CPU more than Paris Hilton munches on cocks.

This always happens with PGA CPUs and dense pastes
The same thing happened to my Athlon. luckily nothing bent!
The same thing happened to my Athlon. luckily nothing bent!
Wow can't you think of a more original name?
Pentium 4?
Try Sandy Bridge
I'm pretty fucking happy. My parts came today and I built it and realized my GPU doesn't support VGA so I can't use the family monitor until mine comes.

Ooh, downloading this year's Chaos Computer Conference presentations, I can see a couple I'm interested in already. Data-mining the Israeli census, Oops I hacked my PBX, cellular protocol stacks for Internet, electronic money, building a distributed satellite ground station network and future of cryptology. I haven't even looked at all the presentations yet. [editline]31st December 2011[/editline]
I'm pretty fucking happy. They usually give like 1-2 of those with a GPU, at least from my experience.

[editline]30th December 2011[/editline] So I'm using my TV but my HDMI cable just barely reaches it.
Welp. My Antec 620 is popping/bubbling. Looks like I'll be getting a new cooler from Frys or Microcenter tomorrow. Any suggestions? [editline]30th December 2011[/editline] And now my desk vibrating because of it.
Perma'd again. Wow, only two posts too.
Perma'd again. Wow, only two posts too.
He's posting in exactly the same threads, using very predictable usernames. If he's smart, he'll at least come up with more original names.

No, it'll be a Thunderbird exploding, considering the AMD theme.
I suggest "Rosewill PSU" with a keg of black powder as an avatar
