I can't do that if I don't know how. I wouldn't be asking if I knew.
First result on Google http://www.silentpcreview.com/article6-page1.html
http://ark.intel.com/products/63697/Intel-Core-i7-3930K-Processor-(12M-Cache-3_20-GHz) holy shit what is this is it better than 2600K or 2700K? is that ivy bridge? when is ivy bridge coming out? should I wait? should I get 580 or the new AMD GPU thats like in between a 580 and a 590 so many questions.
That's SB-e. Basically Sandy Bridge with enhancements to make it a better server-grade chip. Most of them are Xeons, but there are a handful of desktop models for people with lots of money and small dicks. The 3960X and 3930K (which you listed) is 6-core instead of the 3820 and 2700K's 4-core, and they also have a lot more cache and have more PCIe lanes (they're also PCIe 3.0 capable). Only downsides are 1) higher TDP, 2) no integrated GPU, 3) uses LGA2011 instead of LGA1155. Oh, and a price tag that goes up to $999.

Newegg doesn't have the 3930k listed right now, but the 3960X is still stupid expensive. Aren't those other two first generation i7 series?
No, not worth it.
Because I like this thread, and don't want to look like a retard because of my age
it's not just that, i'm 13 and i don't get flamed to bits in this thread maybe you're just that dumb
is it worth it
Answer this short quiz to find out: 1) You regularly do video rendering (not just editing, actual rendering and shit) or other insanely CPU-bound tasks, and need the extra two cores 2) You have more money than you know what to do with, and were considering smoking it to see if hundred-dollar bills can get you high 3) You already have PCIe 3.0 cards and a motherboard ready and don't like it going to waste 4) You have a very small penis, and feel a need to overcompensate by buying overpriced hardware to advertise the fact. If you answered "yes!" to any of the above questions, SB-e may be for you. If not, don't bother.
I can agree with MC3. I was going to get it but decided to get an Ivy Bridge CPU when those come around in ~April. Can get a better PSU and another 570 for the money I save.
Worth it is relative. If you shit money on a regular basis, then it's totally worth it. If you've only shat money once, or your parents shit it for you, then no. People with 2500k's are cooler than everyone else
Well, I do capitalize correctly? /stupid
That doesn't mean shit when what you actually say is awful. [editline]31st December 2011[/editline] Nice ninja edit.
Hey guys it's the future in here
Because I like this thread, and don't want to look like a retard because of my age
Ever considered that perhaps you look like a retard for reason not involving age?
Bacon cheeseburgers and root beer for me tonight. Bacon cheeseburgers and beer and jack daniels for my parents. I love traditions. [editline]31st December 2011[/editline]
Ever considered that perhaps you look like a retard for reason not involving age?
This ^ Hell, I'm older than you and they think I look like a retard, and admittedly, at times I am retarded.
Not that I can find. I can press a button and a LED will change colors but that's it. Maybe I should get some quieter fans?
Try and get a Scythe fan that fits on it, should be easy as the Cooler Master takes 120mm fans. They are really quiet.
None of that made sense to me.
... No offense, but I have to ask. How do you manage to breathe? The fan is connected to pins 1 and 2 now. Connect it to pins 1 and 4 instead. If you want to make a switch for it so you can switch between 7V and 12V, there's a diagram to show you what to do at the bottom.

Stop being a pretentious douche.
