I like how you rate yourself agree. Clearly there's something I don't know hear, so care to explain why 8GB of DDR3 wouldn't be compatible without being an ass? I've got 6GB of DDR3 in a Core i7 setup, so why is 8GB different?
because it wont in in triple channel? :downsbravo: I didn't say its not compatible edit: Is agreeing with yourself a crime? :saddowns: if it means something to you, I'll give myself a gaybow.
I'll take my time and explain to you why you're dumb, and wrong. DDR3 IS NOT THE SAME AS TRIPLE CHANNEL. THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS You can have a i7 960 or a i7 950, or a i7 940, or a i7 920. Doesn't matter, they all overclock about the same. (EE chips usually are guaranteed 4.5 GHz + however) I've seen 920s overclock better than some 950s. don't say shit if you don't know what you're talking about, you'll end up looking like a fool
Your avatar reflects your maturity perfectly. Thanks for clearing this up, I'd appreciate you don't yell next time though. You're not going to last too long here if you flame like that, so I advise you clean your act up.
Is agreeing with yourself a crime? :saddowns: if it means something to you, I'll give myself a gaybow.
People usually assume that the ratings are not from the person that made the post. When you're trying to flame someone and prove them wrong, rating yourself agree only shows how much of an egotistical jackass you are. [editline]03:07PM[/editline]
You sure you're a 08er?
Yeah I'm pretty sure. You're pretty clearly new here though, alts aren't usually that stupid.
go nuts
I'd rather not get into a flame war with a 12 year old, that's OK.

That's it, keep rating me dumb.

OK. Before I go, I'd like an example of triple channel DDR2 RAM and double channel DDR3 RAM.
I heard that Cray does some kinda snazzy prebuilds, but they are a bit bulky for my tastes.
That's none of your business. :colbert:
?? :cop: [editline]07:20PM[/editline]
OK. I'm running dual channel DDR3 with my i7 860 right now. check specification page http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188057

All of the DDR3 ram I've seen is triple channel so I assumed that it was the new standard.

If you don't like my "flaming", you know where the exit is. "dumb" isn't exactly insulting if you ask me.
Hey guys Surprisingly it's still cheaper than a Mac Pro
Hey guys Surprisingly it's still cheaper than a Mac Pro
needs more 24gb ram...
Rate me clocks.
Hey guys Surprisingly it's still cheaper than a Mac Pro
lol @ the green AMD hat.
It's not the best possible, but it's probably the most realistic. I'll sum it up: Four 5870s, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, Core i7 960 (could be overclocked to ridiculous speeds), Some Kickass Soundcard (If you honestly want the best), Windows 7 Ultimate, 5.1 Surround Speakers, and three 30" monitors. You'd still need a case, motherboard, watercooling system, power supply, and anything else I may be forgetting. Final price would probably be around $3000 to $4000.
8GB? Come on lets not pussy out. Get the fucking Corsair Dominator GT 12GB.
The green AMD hat is what makes that setup the best
How bout I will help you but you pay me 300 bucks?
Get the EVGA 4x sli and put 4 5870's. But seriously an actual budget please.
That except with an Asus P6T7 mobo
HD5870 4-way CrossfireX

Benchmarks:
:aaaaa: That needs 24 monitors for eyefinity.
I dislike these threads.
don't forget to paint the case, give it red stripes (it makes it go faster)
don't forget to paint the case, give it red stripes (it makes it go faster)
no sir, you're wrong, it's green that makes it go faster, blue is cooler, red is OHFUCKNO JUST NO.

You're clearly forgetting sexy purple here.
