This build is very close to mine XD i got a few extra goodies but this is a nice looking build :)
So you can't afford another $20? You'd be doubling you storage space. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.441471.13-130-264 $10 off of Windows 7. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.435635 $17 off of this case.

[editline]06:20PM[/editline] Also, Rosewill cases are unreliable.
I'd go with something like this, which totals to around 790$. You can take a HD 5850 instead of the GTX 460 and add another 5850 down the road for upgrade if you want.
Why are you getting an H55 board, don't get an H55 board. Get this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130240
Why are you getting an H55 board, don't get an H55 board. [editline]04:06PM[/editline] So can anyone tell me which would be better motherboard? The h55 or the P55 one?
P55 H55 is for the lower end i5s and i3
They're good cases.
Just not GREAT cases. Also get a Phenom 955 instead of that i5. The difference is marginal but the Phenom is about $45 cheaper. Or if you want a CPU with that high a price get the Phenom 1055T.
no
Thank you for your thoughtful post explaining your argument.
So should I get that i5 or the Phenom 1055T? Why is the Phenom better?
It's not better, it's less expensive with marginal difference to the i5. The 1055T has 6 cores while the 955 and i5 have 4. You can stick with a 955 unless you like to alt-tab and run multiple programs at once. OP, trust me and get a Phenom 955/1055T. You won't see much of a difference, 10fps at the most. And unless you're getting 20fps or under, it won't matter.
So should I get that i5 or the Phenom 1055T? Why is the Phenom better?
You don't need a six core processor, ignore him. Stick with the i5 for now, you'll be better off with it.
Don't get the 1055T, if you're going to go AMD, get the 955.
I'll quote what I posted in another thread, this build is well worth the money. One change I would make if you can push it is get the Intel Xeon X3440, it has hyper threading, which is good for multi-tasking.
i5/USB3.0 build, The reason I've chosen the go with 3.0 and 6.0GB/s SATA is for future-proofing. I feel that the 5850 is perfect for gaming. I'm pretty sure the whole Core i/3/5/7/ series has hyperthreading. Hyperthreading is better for video/photo editing, rendering and that kinda stuff. Multiple cores are better for multitasking.
The i5 doesn't have hyperthreading. And you don't need it for gaming.
The i5 doesn't have hyperthreading. And you don't need it for gaming.
Thanks for clarifying.
Thanks guys buy how do I make my wishlist Public? It doesnt go into the public section
Go to your list of wishlists, checkbox the one you want to make public, then at the bottom, it will say, "Make selected wishlists shared" Click that, then go into your wishlist, and take the number at the end, and find a public wishlist, and past that number where its supposed to go, then post the link here.
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=13421745 Thanks xxncxx. Anways this is the final product. No more changes needed right?
Nope, none that I know of.
Oh sorry and just to make sure because I hear of this a lot. Will everything fit into that case? And would assembling the parts for the pc be a hard task? sorry for all the questions...

Assemblage isn't that hard, you can look at this site if you want to learn about it : http://pcityourself.com/ Or ask post in this thread again if you run into trouble.

Also what is a heatsink? Do i need one?
The i5 is better by a long way
You should get the 1GB version of that card, most games benefit from the extra memory.
You don't need 1gb of memory unless your playing on high resolutions with high settings. If hes playing anything around 1280 x 1024, I severely doubt he will need 1gb of memory. [editline]11:05AM[/editline]
Oh wow that site is very useful haha. Also what is a heatsink? Do i need one?
Your CPU should come with a heatsink. A heatsink takes the heat from your CPU so it doesn't get too hot. Normally the heat is transferred through small copper pipes, then to aluminum plates, which is cooled by a fan. In short, Heatsinks keep your CPU cool. Stock heatsinks usually aren't too good, so you should look into a new heatsink shortly after buying your computer. They aren't too expensive either. Normally less than $100.
The stock cooling will do fine unless you are going to overclock the CPU but it is preferred to have an extra cooler over the stock for longer lasting etc.

[editline]06:20PM[/editline] Also, Rosewill cases are unreliable.
How can a case be unreliable for god's sake? I've never had a bad experience with a Rosewill case. Their power supplies on the other hand...
